As Sony moved onto the VR portion of their stream, we got a look at a couple of new first-person styled VR games. One, Bow to Blood, is a game that looks really similar to the ship combat from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. It also has a really great looking art style, but it seems so slow paced.
As detailed by the hosts, Bow to Blood will feature procedural generation for its game world and will center on a fantasy TV reality show setting. Apparently in the future, we'll be killing ourselves for entertain a la The Running Man. I could see that happening.
From the bit of gameplay we did see, though, this just seems like a tech demo to me. Its the kind of stuff that worked as a proof of concept for VR, not something that should be launching in 2018 years after VR hit the market. We'll just have to wait to see more, since this conference is moving at a rapid pace.
