News::It's dangerous to go alone

It's been a while since we shared a piece from our artsy pal Zac Gorman, but his latest deserves your attention. Based on the famous opening scene from The Legend of Zelda, this comic turns what we thought we knew completely on its head. Zac teaches us once again that there is a lesson to be learned in games of old, but that lesson may not always be pleasant.

In the words of Marty McFly, "Whoa, this is heavy."

News::Motherboards- Bioshock:Infinite[PC] Review

MB:Bioshock Infinite is one of the best games that I have ever played, and possibly one of the best games that has ever been created. If you don't play Bioshock Infinite I have no doubt that somewhere down the road you will regret it. Ken Levine and the staff at Irrational Games have crafted a masterpiece, a spectacular blend of narrative, art work, music and game play. If you're only going to pick one game up this year, make sure it's this one. And for heaven's sake, play it on a decent PC.

News::Bethesda is a Powerhouse Publisher, and Why The Evil Within is Vital to Survival Horror Gaming

VG Republic Writes: Bethesda found a way last year to bring us one of the top 10 games in Dishonored yet they never laid a finger on the title other than bringing it forth to the public. The beauty of Bethesda is that they have two of the most powerful gaming franchises outside of Call of Duty, in The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. There isnt a set of games on the market that offer more longevity and content than these two, for console gamers especially. They dont really have to do anything outside of focusing on these two blockbusters and they would still be one of the most successful in the business. The decision though to become a publisher of outside studios games was rather surprising but at the same time is an easy decision as all they are required to do is to slap their name on it and watch the money roll in. How easy is that? Bethesda though showed even greater decision making when taking on a project like Dishonored as they werent interested in pushing shovel-wear and wante...

However, although Connors stealthy adventure was both memorable and very well made, it wasnt my first overall pick. Instead, that went to Dishonored Arkane Studios fantastic stealth-action/first-person shooter hybrid which won me over with its great content, satisfying mechanics and general abundance of freedom. News::Knife of Dunwall: Dishonored DLC (360) | FTG Review

FTG Writes: The bizarre story of magic infused whales and steampunk assassins continues in Arkane Studios downloadable content for Dishonored with the games first storyline expansion pack, The Knife of Dunwall. While priced to sell at $10, is it worth your time and energy? Back to Dunwall Dishonoreds: The Knife of Dunwall DLC is a storyline that runs parallel to the story of the games main protagonist, Corvo Attano. Following the footsteps of Dunwalls Assassin King, Daud, the game takes place almost simultaneously with the events of the original Dishonored, complete with a scene showing Daud and his men murdering the Empress and stealing away with her daughter Emily. While Corvo is breaking out of prison from being wrongfully accused of assassinating the Empress, Daud, the man who sets Corvo up to take the murder rap feels remorse for the killing.

News::SEGA Pluto prototype is now up for auction

The other day, Dtoider kidvid666 revealed that he owns one of only two SEGA Pluto units in existence. As you may recall, the Pluto was a prototype revision of the SEGA Saturn with a built-in NetLink modem, but the idea was scrapped for one reason or another. Only two devices were allegedly produced, and kidvid666 was fortunate enough to score his for $1 at a flea market!

Now the lucky young rascal has placed the machine up for auction. A mere three bids have been made thus far, but already the price sits at $7600! That's a 759,900% increase on his initial investment, in case you were wondering, and that number is bound to shoot up even higher! Sure, he could have kept the device and been the envy of his peers for years to come, but that kind of scratch ain't nuthin' to scoff at either!

I just hope whoever is bidding isn't just running up the auction for kicks and giggles. I've seen that happen far too often for high-ticket scores such as this.

News::Bioshock Infinite Review | GameCritics

GameCritics: "Fuzzy-headed narrative and thematically irrelevant auxiliary mechanics make Infinite feel sloppy even when it's working. Combat increases in frequency and decreases in impact after the Hall of Heroes, so for most of its length the game sinks towards a deflated ending rather than rising towards a climax. However, that slow descent starts from a great height, so there is still much to value in Infinite even as it drowns in its own shortcomings."
