News::I showed my wife the 'That Dragon, Cancer' Kickstarter page

GameZone's Lance Liebl: "The first time I visited the Kickstarter page for That Dragon, Cancer, I was a mess. Ever try not crying in front of four coworkers aged 23 to 31? If you could hold back then you would do better than I did. As a father of two beautiful boys (which have had their share of hospital visits), I connected at a parental level with That Dragon, Cancer before ever even playing it."

News::Bladestorm: Nightmare is a historical game with evil Joan of Arc and dragons

I didn't play 2007's Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War, but I might play Bladestorm: Nightmare , an expanded version of the real-time tactics game for PS3, PS4, and Xbox One.

The core remains the same -- you still side with England or France in battles inspired by historical events -- but a separate Nightmare mode adds fantasy creatures, hence my sudden interest. This new story has dragons, griffins, and, haha, you're seeing this cyclops, right?

France and England will need to join forces to stop an evil form of Joan of Arc and her monster army. The mode might be called Nightmare but it sounds like a dream come true.

Bladestorm releases for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ($59.99) and PlayStation 3 ($49.99; only via PlayStation Network) on March 3, 2015.

Max and I started playing The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth because it's a good-ass game, and we like to do gaming. Max has actually never played any iteration of Binding of Isaac before, so I let him go first, knowing that I'd only have to wait a few minutes before my turn.

As it turns out, videogame consoles don't hold up very well against an industrial shredder. Who would have thought? Looking at them all gathered in a giant pile of metallic dust, it's like the tech equivalent to humans are all just bags of meat.

Although, I half expected the original Xbox to break the shredder and emerge unscathed.
