News::This fish is playing Pokémon very slowly, and a lot of people are watching

Twitch has a thing for playing Pokémon. Typically, it's a crowdsourced game with tens of thousands of players all helping input controls. Some college kids recently scaled that back and are trying to accomplish the same thing with just a fish.

Grayson the fish is trying to play Pokémon Red, although there's a good chance he doesn't know it. With his bowl sectioned off into nine zones -- eight of which host different controls -- Grayson's swimming around and trying to catch 'em all.

The stream's description says that he's 135 hours in (more by now), and he's not exactly conquering the Elite Four anytime soon. However, he has managed to select Charmander as his starter and defeat Squirtle. Because even a fish knows that Charmander's the best starter Pokémon.

News::Here's some new junk to outfit your characters with in The Last of Us Remastered

The Last of Us Remastered released last week and the first DLC bundles have been released. August 5 the Grit and Gear Bundle was released which includes six new items which are:

  • Skull Cowboy Hat

  • Welding Mask

  • Fire Welding Helmet

  • Leather Mask

  • High Altitude Helmet

  • Hell Cowboy Hat (bundle exclusive)

This bundle can be had for the absolutely ridiculous price of $6.99. Also available are new Gestures called The Gif, Oh Snap!, and Victory, and you can get all three for $2.49.

In addition to these wonderful and varied DLC packs, Naughty Dog has so graciously opened the heavens to promise us that the Professional Sports Bundle will be available next week and will include SEVEN items. This bundle will be priced at $7.99.

All these wonderful DLC bundles are available for PS3 and PS4. If you'd rather get your money's worth instead of buying these DLC items, you can pay me to come over to your house and hit you with a baseball bat, which is pretty much how I felt when I read about these blatant cash grabs from Naughty Dog.

News::Valve releases Dota 2 mod tools and possibly Source 2 (or parts of it)

Valve has released an alpha build of its Dota 2 Workshop Tools which will enable folks to create, share, and play custom maps and game modes for Dota 2. That's going to be huge and if you played custom games in Warcraft III, I think you'll agree. It's where Defense of the Ancients got its start, after all -- but that was just one of numerous user-made games worth playing.

The current version of the Workshop Tools is intended for developers and, as such, the system requirements are currently on the higher end (64-bit Windows, a Direct3D 11 video card). Exciting stuff for creators already, but then there's the Source 2 stuff on top of it.

Inquiring minds have been looking into the tools' code and it's believed that the company has soft launched the new Source engine, and the evidence compiled on NeoGAF and reddit seems increasingly plausible. There's been no mention of Source 2 from Valve yet, however.

If there's going to be an announcement, next week at gamescom would be a good time to do it.

News::You get 12 inches of pure Master Chief with the UK-only Mjolnir Edition of Halo: Master Chief Collection

The Halo: The Master Chief Collection Mjolnir Edition has been revealed and includes a 12-inch Master Chief figure made by Artfx. The figure has two sets of interchangeable arms so you can pose Master Chief all nonchalant with the rifle over his shoulder or with his battle rifle at the ready. It also features limited articulation at the neck and waist for even more wonderful posing action.

In addition to the statue, the Mjolnir Edition will include everything that comes with the Limited Edition: a steelbook case, a physical map book, and the DLC Grunt Funeral skull.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is an Xbox One exclusive that packages Halo 1-4 and includes all multiplayer maps ever released as well as access to the beta of Halo 5: Guardians.

The Halo: The Master Chief Collection Mjolnir Edition is exclusive to GAME in the UK and will set importers back at least £169.99 ($286.27). You really have to ask yourself if twelve inches of Master Chief is worth all that. If so, buy on!
