News::Take a look at the April update for 'Destiny'

Developer Bungie held a livestream today adding further details to what you can expect from Destiny's next update. First up is an increase to Light level (the rating that denotes your defensive and offensive power, based on the gear you have equipped) to 335 from expansion pack The Taken King's 310. New loot and difficulty settings are coming to the Prison of Elders, Court of Oryx, heroic strikes, Nightfall strikes and the King's Fall raid in addition to Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris events, as well.

News::'The Banner Saga 2' comes to PC and Mac on April 19th

The long-awaited sequel to The Banner Saga, Stoic's beloved role-playing game, is finally coming soon to PC and Mac. Although The Banner Saga 2 won't be available for download until April 19th, pre-orders are open starting today on Steam. Judging from screenshots, The Banner Saga 2 appears to have the same aesthetics as the original title, which isn't a bad thing. We know what matters to you is having legendary Viking fights in 2D, but now you'll have new characters and clans to choose from.

News::'Minecraft' gets its first live concert

Minecraft has had its share of real-world crossovers, but nothing quite like this. Norway's annual The Gathering tech conference is hosting a live concert both in real life and in Minecraft tonight at 9PM local time (4PM Eastern), with volunteers mimicking the artists in Minecraft as they parade around the stage. And this isn't a small production, either -- AlunaGeorge, Broiler and Lemaitre are on deck, so you should be in for a good time whether you're looking at the real artists or their blocky avatars.

News::You are now free to buy Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One

Yes, the Xbox 360 is officially old-school. Today's Xbox One system update adds direct access to Xbox 360 games, making it easier to actually use the console's backward compatibility function. News::Popular 'Destiny' matchmaking site plans app for more games

Online multiplayer isn't just an afterthought for many of today's PC and console games -- it's central to the whole experience. Games like Destiny work best as massively multiplayer experiences, where you're part of focused squads taking down difficult opponents. Quickly finding a competent team can be difficult, however, which is why tools like DestinyLFG have flourished online.

DestinyLFG (LFG = Looking For Group) is a website that allows Guardians to submit posts stating what quests they wish to complete, exactly the type of player they're looking for and list other in-game requirements. The site now counts over 6 million users from all over the world. With a dedicated user base using the site daily, the team behind it has decided to branch out. It's headed to Kickstarter to launch For The Win (FTW), a new app that incorporates all of the useful elements of DestinyLFG and makes them available to communities of other popular multiplayer games.

News::'Battleborn' beta launches April 8th on PlayStation 4

If you haven't noticed, episodic gaming is all the rage these days. The developers at Gearbox have taken notice and are structuring Battleborn's story mode in such a fashion. A press release says that the game's prologue and eight episodes work as a season that tell a collectively bigger narrative, while each episode will focus on a self-contained story about the game's 25 characters.

News::Sony brings PS2 classics 'Manhunt' and Bully' to the PS4

It was a big deal when Sony introduced PS2 backward-compatibility on the PlayStation 4 with the launch of Star Wars: Battlefront, but it's already old hat, apparently. With its latest PlayStation Store update, the company released Rockstar titles Bully and Manhunt without a lot of fanfare. As before, the games get "full 1080p up-rendering and enhanced features such as trophies, shareplay, remote play, activity feeds and second screen support for game manuals with 'PS Vita' or PS App." That means you'll get nearly the same experience as on a PS2, though Sony adds that "some features may not function properly."
