Following on from threezero’s first Fallout 4 figure, here’s one based on the game’s T-60 Power Armor.
Nightdive Studios remastered Turok: Dinosaur Hunter last year, and it also has plans to modernize Turok 2: Seeds of Evil for PC and consoles. But with the developer wrapped up in its crowdfunded System Shock remake, folks have understandably been getting antsy about the game's prospects.
The latest word from the team isn't so much news as it is an assurance that, yes, things are going fine. Sometimes, that's all we even need to keep our imaginations from assuming the worst.
"So as many of you may have guessed, working on the rights to these classic titles can be tricky and sometimes contractual obligations prevents the transparency we've enjoyed on some of our other titles which is why updates have been mysteriously absent," wrote Nightdive's Daniel Grayshon.
"We're well aware of the demand for Turok 2 and it is still in development...in fact we started development just shortly after the launch of the first Turok. Turok 2 is a bigger game, more enemies, more weapons, more locations and most importantly...Turok 2 had Multiplayer." (You'd best respect that Cerebral Bore.)
"In our quest to bring you the most authentic experience at the highest quality level available," he continued, "we've decided to give Turok 2 the love it deserves and release the game 'when it's done' which is why all we've been able to say is this: Turok 2 is coming! Thank you for your continued support and patience, we know you're going to love it!"

Night Dive Studios, specialists in re-releasing classic PC games for more modern hardware, have announced today that they’ll soon be bringing Turok 2 (first released in 1998) back from the dead.
For Rocket League players, it starts as a Tuesday like any other Tuesday. They hop on, play a competitive match or two -- just like they always do. Mostly it's in hopes of picking up a few wins and working toward getting promoted to the next rankings tier. Then the post-match screen pops up and they might find out that they've been promoted several tiers, an occurrence that simply doesn't happen in Rocket League. What gives?
Developer Psyonix announced today that it's recalibrating the competitive ranks. The idea is to better populate the higher tiers. Before, less than one percent of players made up the highest five ranks; now, it's six percent. Not all competitive modes will have the same distribution, but they'll be similar.
This means a bit of instant gratification. Players who are Challenger tier and above may find a rapid ascent through the ranks today. Those looking to see where they stand now won't see automatic results. Psyonix says "winning matches will quickly calibrate you to the correct new rankings." The Rocket League subreddit is full of stories about people being boosted up and past the levels they were trying to hit. It's a feel-good day for everyone.

Uncharted 4's showing at E3 2015 was one of the most memorable in recent years, Naughty Dog showing off one of the game’s centrepiece moments, a car chase through the streets of Madagascar. Here’s a quick look at how some of that came together (along with other animated moments from the game).
In one corner we have Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors, a game about disciplining young women in order to save them from eternal damnation. In the other, Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhinu, a game about girls turning into weapons by kissing each other. Decisions, decisions.
Cuphead is not the type of game you want to see rushed, and as much as I would love to play it this year, I'm all for giving Studio MDHR more breathing room. Given the project's animation inspirations, the creators had hoped to finish the run-and-gun platformer "80 years after 1936, but it will now be 81."
According to art director Chad Moldenhauer, "Throughout this year we discussed reducing the scope to make a 2016 release, but we made the difficult decision to delay the launch in order to ship with our vision intact. We are happy to announce that Cuphead will be coming to Xbox One, Windows 10, and Steam in Mid-2017."
If it's any consolation, at least the new window isn't early 2017.

Monsters lurk everywhere in pop culture—novels, comic books, TV shows, urban legends—but today, we’re focusing on killers who were born in the movies. For this io9 guide, we picked cinema’s biggest, most evil slasher-movie baddies... plus a few cult favorites, too.
I'll take any excuse to say "Natty Doc," and this is a pretty darn good one.
NISA has a worthwhile sale up on the PlayStation Store that spans the PSP up to the PS4, with games like Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness, Disgaea 5, Demon Graze, and even oddball favorites like Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero and What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord!? 2.
You know you're in for something special when a game has a question mark in its name.

Junkenstein’s Revenge marks the first co-op brawl in Overwatch. Fighting against waves of zombie robots and holding off the horde is some of the most fun I’ve ever had playing the game.
The plot of Gears of War 4 is the most low stakes the franchise has ever been. Ironic, kind of, because it's probably the highest stakes ever for Xbox. With Epic Games no longer serving as its guiding hand, Xbox is left to see if the series can thrive under new leadership with new characters and a new story arc.
The short of it is that the series can and will continue to thrive and that's because Gears of War still makes for one hell of an action game. But, developer The Coalition doesn't always handle the transition fluidly, often struggling to strike a balance between new Gears and the ghosts of its past.

The rather unrelated predecessor to Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Revolver came out in 2004 (that's PlayStation 2 era, folks) after Rockstar bought the rights and developer Angel Studios, which became Rockstar San Diego.
You can get it for $15 on PS4 "with full 1080p up-rendering and enhanced features such as Trophies, Shareplay, Remote Play, Activity Feeds and Second Screen support for game manuals with PS Vita or PS App."
And check out when it was a Capcom joint:
Pokemon Go had two updates in the hopper -- one that was relatively tame and should have been in by default, and the other, a nice change to a system that naturally required fan feedback and adjustment.
Operative phrase here being "had," because they're now rolling out on Android and iOS. To be exact, your catch bonuses have been upgraded, to the point where the more of a certain type of creature you catch, the more chance you'll earn to grab them in the future. It's a good incentive for nabbing up those Pidgeys and Rattatas.
Gym training is now significantly improved, as you can bring in a crowd of six instead of one, and the system will now alter your CP up to the trainees. Beyond that, minor fixes are in tow, as well as a better egg and incubator UI.
Good changes, but we're all waiting for stuff like trading. They've made enough money as it is to kick things into overdrive! While there are still a lot of people playing there has been a significant dropoff, and I hope something comes sooner than later that brings people back together again.

Legion is a rich and rewarding expansion pack for followers of Warcraft lore, but with a plot revolving around a demonic force attempting to wipe out all life on the planet, not every storyline is going to have a happy ending. This is the unhappiest of them all.
For reasons unknown, there are no Overwatch action figures. I want there to be Overwatch action figures. Especially Bastion ones that transform like this hand-made effort.
Gears of War 4 is another highly rated entry in the series by gamers and critics alike (I'm digging the campaign so far), but early access players by way of the Ultimate Edition have had a few complaints.
Those issues are being addressed early yet surprisingly, as The Coalition has issued an update that not only reduces the in-game currency cost of the Elite Gear Pack (down to 3500 from 4000), but you also get more in-game credits by playing matches. The developer has reported a bug that notes that the UI denotes "zero credits earned," after a match, but you are getting them and they're addressing the problem for another patch.
Considering how stalwart most developers are about their stingy economies, this was a pretty welcome, swift fix.

The tail wagging the WWE this fall appears to be the people who just put out the new WWE 2K17 video game. How else to explain why the wrestling company’s top draw, Brock Lesnar, is getting lined up to face 49-year-old, long-retired wrestler Bill Goldberg next month?
It doesn't feel like four years have passed since the release of the original Bravely Default, but long localization delays will do that to you.
Yep, as of today, October 11, it's officially been that long since the original was released by Square Enix on 3DS, which was eventually followed by a PC browser game, an expansion (that we got bundled in, in the west), a smartphone release, and a sequel. And the publisher isn't done quite yet either, as they've teased a new bit of news, a topic of which they've admitted has been "scant recently."
While I doubt they'll announce a sequel out of the blue, it could have something to do with the announcement of the NX. I mean this is a complete guess, but I doubt Square would want to stop this gravy train anytime soon, and the timing is right.

On the most recent episode of our podcast, Kotaku Splitscreen, I declared Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood to be the best Assassin’s Creed.
Today marks the passing of one of Call of Duty’s finest soldiers. After valiantly fighting his way through nearly three entire Modern Warfare games, one Task Force 141 didn’t make it back from the October 11, 2016 mission to assassinate terrorist leader Vladimir Makarov.
Earlier this year, NIS America announced that that it was going to be bringing the Aqua Style-developed roguelike Touhou Genso Wanderer to Western territories sometime in early 2017. Today we finally have a little more specificity as to when the Touhou roguelike will be ready to hit store shelves. Touhou Genso Wanderer will be released in North America on February 7 and Europe on February 10.
Alongside the confirmation of a Western release date, NIS America also announced that physical PS4 copies of Touhou Genso Wanderer will also come with Touhou Double Focus, which is a small 2D platformer that centres around the characters Aya and Momiji. Touhou Double Focus will also be available separately as a digital download for the PS4 and Vita.
One thing of note about the tie-in copy of Touhou Double Focus will only be available physically in North America. Europeans will have to be contented with a digital download code for the game.
NIS America also revealed a North American collector's edition for the PS4 version of the game, which you can pre-order on the company's online store for $80. It will contain:
Unfortunately, PS Vita owners in both Europe and North America will have to make do with a digital copy of Touhou Genso Wanderer, as NIS has confirmed that physical copies of the game will be available only on the PS4. As someone who has already filled an exorbitantly expensive 64GB Vita memory card, I can't help but find this news to be somewhat frustrating.
Feel free to check out the trailer below. You can also get a better look at the collector's edition for Touhou Genso Wanderer in the gallery.
