This month she goes back to RPG Maker titles with one of the most popular examples: a creepy little game called Yume Nikki about a young shut-in named Madotsuki who only plays a depressing game called Nasu and sleeps. One day she begins to have these strange dreams which involves traversing incredibly surreal and creepy worlds.

News::Upcoming inFamous: Second Son update will let your turn off the HUD

As detailed on the PlayStation Blog, Sucker Punch Productions has spoken about a few new features it will be adding to inFamous: Second Soon in the coming weeks based on fan feedback.

It seems many of you requested the ability to change the in-game time of day to your liking and that will be possible upon completion of Second Son. What's more, options to turn off the heads-up display and cap the frame rate at 30 frames per second are planned as well.

I've never been too bothered by variable frame rates, but for a game as pretty as this, removing the HUD is something I can get behind. Sucker Punch says that at the earliest, it can have a patch including features like this and bug fixes ready two weeks from now.

Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw : As I said in my Dark Souls 2 review, at the point when I wrote it I'd played about 30 hours, with three of the four big souls acquired and on my way to the fourth. News::CGM Reviews: Betrayer

If the most effective horror stories are about confronting our fear of the unknown, then there are very few premises better set up to scare us than the one found in Blackpowder Games Betrayer. After washing ashore on the banks of a Virginian colony in 1604, the games protagonist discovers that none of the areas dense forests and remote outposts are still inhabited, save for a single red-cloaked woman. What is left are wandering demons decked out in 17th century Spanish armour and the ghosts of the annihilated Natives and English colonists. Aside from this rather creepy company the player is completely alone in the desolate woods and ruined colonial forts.

News::This is what a Blizzard fighting game would look like

It's only fitting that I start my personal April Fools' Day off with Blizzard. The company's gags are almost always something so cool or outlandish that we wish they were really being made, and that's no different this year with Blizzard Outcasts: Vengeance of the Vanquished .

This is a fighting game in which a Battlecruiser can brawl with a Treasure Goblin. A game where a mere swipe of your credit card is all that's required to regain precious health, and a Baneling can wear those pixelated deal-with-it sunglasses. Again, I ask: can this be real?

News::Micromanage space poop schedules in Cosmonautica

When we think about interstellar travel, our minds often go straight to intense battles with alien warships, exploration of hostile worlds, or cunning diplomacy. We often forget that between all of the action, our heroes still need to eat, sleep, bathe, and take some private meditation time (this is code for pooping).

Cosmonautica looks to explore those down times, but it is not without its own highs. As the manager of a trading ship, the player sets shifts for each crew member, with tasks ranging between mundane mopping and more exciting missile defense. Think The Sims, but with a chance of catastrophic depressurization.

Cosmonautica is being developed by the team who made Pressure . It is currently in the concepts section of Steam, with no information on a release window.

News::Titanfall Review | GameCloud

Brendan at GameCloud writes: "Sometimes it can take one thing to change up a stagnating idea. Or in this case, one big thing and several little things. Respawn tugged at tugged at the indisputable idea that mechs are awesome and so is driving one and then ran with it to incredible effect. The seamless blend of infantry combat, free-running and mech-fighting come together to create an exhilarating multiplayer experience that could invigorate an interest in the genre from even the most jaded soul. The story presented is an exercise in creating lore for the world and give it context than anything else. Yes, the campaign is weak, but the battles themselves are just as fun as a regular multiplayer match (as they are essentially the same). The trade-off here is that Respawn was able to spend more time fine-tuning the mechanics of the game rather than building a whole other element separate to Titanfalls primary focus: multiplayer."

News::BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea Episode 2 review - Gaming Nexus

Gaming Nexus writes. "BioShock Infinite Burial at Sea Episode 2, for the most part, is a fitting end to the entire series. It brings everything full circle and connects the first game with the third game. Playing as Elizabeth, you're forced to be more patient in going through the game as well as using some different techniques than if you were playing as Booker. The game crashes were certainly far more than what I've experienced in the past. Sometimes frustrating, sometimes confusing, Episode 2, while not the crowing achievement for Irrational Games' last effort, was a good end and a better DLC than Episode 1."

The Super Nintendo is still my favorite console of all time, due in no small part to the huge amount of SNES titles made for it. It was the ones developed towards the end of the system's lifespan that left such an impact on me, and that was largely thanks to the Super FX chip and Mode 7 that developers took advantage of to get past the limitations of the console's hardware.

Did You Know Gaming took a look at the history behind these two key innovations that was able to help Nintendo basically skip a console generation and go straight into the 64-bit generation.
