News::Strategy to Beat Legendary in FUT 15

How to beat Legendary. It is pretty tough but anyone can learn to beat it reliably given the time. These are just my opinions and I'm certain some people will of had alternative experiences.

News::Project Spark Review - Newgamenetwork

NGNW: "When LittleBigPlanet originally debuted on the Playstation 3 in 2009, it introduced this previously unseen concept of giving players around the world simplistic-yet-plentiful tools to allow them to create, share, and play custom levels. It may not have exactly set off a trend of create-a-game imitators, but its innovative mechanic still gains high praise from critics and consumers alike."

Why Microtransactions Aren't Going Away Any Time Soon

"I refuse to buy microtransactions in any game. They're trashy, greedy, and their existence shows nothing but disrespect for players. No matter how they're implemented they cause me nothing but unbridled hatred toward whatever marketing department decided to infect an otherwise decent game with the hyper-capitalist video game equivalent of herpes."

While plenty of great games have been released, my personal tastes meant it wasnt the all-encompassing beast it was for others. As a man who isnt too keen on Dark Souls, Assassins Creed, Watch Dogs, Destiny, Titanfall well you see the picture emerging.'

News::Sunset Overdrive's New Expansion Is Short But Sweet

News::Wings of Vi Review - Newgamenetwork

NGNW: "Explaining the appeal of playing I Wanna Be The Boshy is always a teensy bit tricky. Sure, as a spectator to the offensively unfair fan-game you might at least get the chance to see a man's sanity and well-being slowly pecked away by the ultra-precise platforming it being a morbidly fascinating Twitch.tv staple and everything but why anybody would actually sit down and play it for the purposes of entertainment is a question to be asked in a much more incredulous tone. It is, I think, a game of pure achievement: enjoyment isn't derived from the gameplay itself so much as the sheer sobbing relief after several sleepless nights and developing a minor substance abuse problem of just barely reaching the next checkpoint. It's an icy jagged cliff to throw yourself against; every ledge merely an excuse to pat yourself on the back."

News::Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris Review | Co-Optimus

Co-Optimus: In 2013 we witnessed the re-imagining of Lara Croft who brought with her a darker side to the Tomb Raider series. Even though this Lara was a deeper, more developed character, there is always going to be room for the classic Croft we grew up with.

PlatformNation: Sometimes all a game has to do is make you forget. For all the lofty goals weve attached to the medium as we elevate it to artistic discourse and social commentary and eSports careers, theres still that very necessary niche that needs filling, the one that we dip into when we just want to have some a good time. Thats where Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris steps up. It is, quite simply, just fun.

Outcast 1.1 was released on Steam and the guys at PCGH put some CPUs to test with the redone multithreaded renderer. In Full HD, which is heavily recommended, even the i7-4770K overclocked to 4.5 GHz isn't able to achieve 30 Fps. A 5 GHz CPU would be necessary according to the estimates in the article.

News::Ori and the Blind Forest - A Multinational Team Bands Together To Create Their Dream Project

GI: Super Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are widely regarded as two of the best games of all time, but official 2D sequels have been few and far between recently and usually relegated to the handheld space. That absence has spurred indie developers to co-opt the classic formula and make it their own. With its new title, Ori and the Blind Forest, Moon Studios seeks to deliver a Metroid-like experience with a mix of pixel-perfect platforming à la Super Meat Boy and the crisp visuals of Studio Ghiblis animated films. It sounds like a powerful cocktail that may appeal to -millions of gamers, and Microsoft has already bet big on this new IP. But can a ragtag team of developers from around the world many of whom have never met overcome its unique development challenges and create an instant classic?

News::Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel review | Thunderbolt

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is not the game for someone expecting the next evolution of the franchise. As a last-gen hurrah, itll give Borderlands fans what they want: more guns and vault hunters to play with in a somewhat novel setting, but it doesnt go beyond being Borderlands, but on the moon. 2K Australia have proven at least they can be trusted with the franchise, and itll be fun to see what kind of DLC they can cook up down the pike. If youre not on board with the series mashing of shooting and RPG elements, theres nothing here thats going to dissuade, and even casual fans might not feel the need to pick up this interquel after theyre still stuffed from Borderlands 2, but for the hardcore fan its hard to deny the formula is still plenty of fun and taking things to the moon provides enough of a difference in the mechanics to justify a play-through.

News::Final Fantasy XIII-2 - PC Review | Chalgyr's Game Room

Chalgyr's Game Room writes: Final Fantasy XIII-2 released some time ago, but the series is getting some new life now on the PC format. Promising enhanced resolution and framerate and the inclusion of most (not all) of the DLC from the console versions, Final Fantasy XIII-2 receives a second chance to be played by more people. Does it deserve that chance? I believe so - I was very keen on this title when it first came out and that has not changed in getting to play this title again for the first time in over two years.

News::Game of Thrones - Episode 1 Review | Newgamenetwork

NGNW: "Game of Thrones means many things to many different people. There are the hardcore fantasy nerds who have been reading the books long before the show ever existed. There are the TV faithful who have been tuning into the show week after week to see the world of Westeros come to life. Then there are the deep-dive fans who gobble up anything related to the seven kingdoms any way that they can. Game of Thrones is just the most recent example of fantasy going mainstream, but it still inspires such niche things like cookbooks and craft beers. So it was only a matter of time before Game of Thrones got gobbled up by the world of video games (there already was one Game of Thrones video game, but - well, it was awful)."

News::ZTGD | The Talos Principle (PC) Review

Dave Payerle writes: Certain genres are so heavily associated with specific games that I dont envy anyone trying to develop in the same space. Such is the case with first person puzzle games, where the simplest way to explain a game is by comparing it to Portal, the de facto standard. Most games vary mechanics and setting (although some less than others), in an effort to carve out an identity. The Talos Principle does those things, but spends less time worrying about similar mechanics and instead focuses on providing a much different narrative experience. That focus pays off, and even when taking puzzles out of the equation the game made me think much more than any other in recent memory.
