News::'Don't Starve: Shipwrecked' lands on your PS4 this spring

If you're thoroughly hooked on Don't Starve but don't want to retreat to your PC to play Shipwrecked, we have good news. Klei and Capybara have announced that Shipwrecked will be available on the PlayStation 4 sometime this spring. There's no mention of any big changes for this console release (we wouldn't expect any), but that's fine -- the real emphasis here is on adapting Don't Starve's quirky survival gameplay to a world full of tropical islands and horrible sea monsters. And if you need to get your fix on the road, be patient. Klei's Corey Rollins says his studio is "looking in to" the possibility of a PlayStation Vita port for Shipwrecked, so you might have a portable option in the future.

News::Open-world survival game 'Rust' adds female character models

Rust, the popular open-world survival game from the creator of Garry's Mod, now features female character models after more than two years on Steam Early Access and attracting millions of players. Facepunch Studios rolled out the new models in an update late last week. Players don't get to choose what their characters look like or which gender they are -- models are randomly assigned and locked to individual Steam IDs.

News::'Destiny' trailer shows what's new in the big April update

Bungie has seemingly been teasing Destiny: The Taken King's April update for ages, but it's finally (almost) here -- and the studio has seen fit to release one last trailer that explains what all the fuss is about. The clip gives you a whirlwind tour of virtually everything that's new, including new quests, strikes and story missions, the increased Light level and new gear ranging from chroma trim (basically, shiny lighting) to Taken-themed armor.

News::Step back in time with a mysterious, unreleased Neo Geo game

The Neo Geo served as a launchpad for a handful of influential fighting game franchises like The King of Fighters, but there may be one more masterpiece buried in the 26-year-old hardware. About a year ago, Neo Geo fan Brian Hargrove bought an unlabeled ROM board at a Japanese auction for about $600 in the hopes that it would contain leftover data he could play with, USgamer reports. After a few failed attempts to extract its secrets, he got it working and stumbled across an unknown, unfinished fighting game prototype that might tie into Dungeons & Dragons lore. Happily, he's shared videos and images of the mystery title in action.

News::'Punch-Out' reveals a surprise nearly 30 years later

More than a few games have extremely obscure Easter eggs that might take months or years to uncover, but this one might just set a record. Reddit user Midwesternhousewives has discovered an egg in Punch-Out (aka Mike Tyson's Punch-Out) that tells you when to deliver a knockout blow to two fighters. See that bearded man in the front row of the crowd, to the left? If you're in your second fight with either Piston Honda or Bald Bull, he'll duck at the exact moment you need to punch -- you only have to watch him to guarantee victory. Believe it or not, no one caught this secret in the 29 years since the boxing game reached the NES.

News::'Titanfall 2' is coming to PlayStation 4, watch the trailer

PlayStation Europe dropped the first teaser trailer for Titanfall 2 on Twitter Monday. Titanfall 1 was the Xbox One's marquee exclusive when it launched shortly after console's debut back in 2013, which makes the sequel landing on its rival platform all the more intriguing. And given Microsoft's recent agreement with Sony to allow cross-platform multiplayer, this could portend some very cool online matches that exceed the original's 6v6 player limit. There's no word on when Titanfall 2 will actually be released, however PS Europe says the game's gameplay trailer will be go live on June 12th.

News::Codemasters snaps up 'Driveclub' developer Evolution Studios

It was a sad day when Sony decided to drop Evolution Studios from its pantheon of first-party video game developers. Following the announcement, it was unclear what would become of the company best known for creating Driveclub and the MotorStorm franchise. Well, now we have an answer. Codemasters, another racing specialist in the UK, will be picking up the company on April 25th. It'll create something of an independent super-studio, with Mick Hocking, co-founder of Evolution, taking on the role of VP Product Development at Codemasters.

News::The first 'Gears of War 4' trailer is sad (and sounds like it)

We saw Gears of War 4 gameplay footage back at E3 2015, but (in time to hype the game before this year's game show), here's a short trailer that's a bit of a downer. Setting the scene for the son of the main protagonist from all the previous games, 25 years have passed since the last fight, and yet there's still things to gun down with giant machine guns. (And they deserve it for knocking down that tree.) As is the GoW series' wont, we get a cover song to underscore the destructions: Simon and Garfunkel's The Sound of Silence, which will probably sound familiar to most of you.
