News::Lethal League Review: New League on the Block: Hardcore Games

Hardcore Games - Lethal League is the newest projectile fighting game to hit the Steam marketplace. If youve never heard of a projectile fighting game before, fret not! Team Reptile has more or less invented the genre (with all respect due to Tekken Ball) with their zany new approach to 2-D fighters. The goal of the game is to hit an anti-gravity ball so hard that is destroys your opponent when it smacks them upside the head. The catch is that they may just hit it right back at you; and with each successive hit the ball goes even faster. Its not quite Pong, and its not quite Street Fighter. Instead its somewhere in the vastly huge middle-ground, and the result is one of the most exciting multiplayer games in years.

News::Qbeh-1: The Atlas Cube | Hardcore Gamer

With a AAA game market that continues to overdo it on the brown/grey, gritty super-realism, its almost become expected of indie games to have some form of eye-popping graphic design. Over the years, games like LIMBO, Journey, and even Minecraft have engaged their audience with unusual aesthetics that AAA games have barely ever touched. Its no surprise that Qbeh-1: The Atlas Cube makes the same kind of gorgeous first impressions. Developed by Liquid Flower, Qbeh-1: The Atlas Cube is a first-person puzzle game with a downright ascendant graphic design and plenty of mind-bending, block-stacking challenges in its eerie world. While its stages have a nasty habit of overstaying their welcome, inventive mechanics and a beautiful visual design make Qbeh-1: The Atlas Cube a puzzle game with creativity to burn.

News::Goofs and Guitars: Boo Bunny Plague Review | Hey Poor Player

Boo Bunny Plague presents with an astounding amount of promise but it delivers on nothing except its humor. Its boring, its bland, it looks awful, and it has some of the worst hit detection Ive ever seen in an action game. Its also extraordinarily short, at only 3 hours. Again, I get that its $5, but I almost feel that its not even worth that.

News::Lichdom: Battlemage Review Magically Brutal I The Koalition

Asad Quadri of The Koalition writes: When it comes to fantasy games, the first thing that comes to mind is a wonderful, vast, epical open-world where the sky is the limit and youre the centrepiece of it all. Youre going on an epic quest, discovering breathtaking landscapes and fighting to defeat an impending evil to save the world. Thats not really the case here. In this fantasy game your objective here is to make many magical wonders and use them to turn bad guys into heaping piles of ash. There is a plot to it somewhere but thats soon forgotten when you start playing and seeing whats on offer.
