News::Secret Ponchos creator: 'Sony treats us like we're first-party'

GameZone: "Back in 2013, GameZone saw a neat little western-themed twin-stick shooter known by the name Secret Ponchos. You've probably heard of it by now, as it has quickly become one of the premiere indie games Sony has featured at various events like E3; but, back then it was just a small little indie game with no release date and no platforms to call home."

The Horde And Alliance Battle Over Bikes In Azeroth Choppers

With American Chopper having been off the air since 2012 and nothing pressing happening with the World of Warcraft team other than a major expansion pack, now's the perfect time for Blizzard to tap world-famous motorized bicycle designer Paul Teutul, Jr. for a web-based reality show. It's Azeroth Choppers, you guys.

Video game movement's the best, isn't it? Jumping higher than possible in reality, dodging, rolling and sprinting with impossible smoothness across precise vectors… it's no wonder you get limitations like a double jump or short dash distances. Fenix Rage takes those strictures away, giving you infinite dash and infinite jumping. It's the kind of game where you need it.

Jamie Laike Tsui of Capsule Computers writes: "Age of Wonders III is the latest title in the Age of Wonders series from Dutch developers Triumph Studios. Technically the fourth game in the series, Age of Wonders III picks the series back up after a decade on hiatus. The game merges classic 4X gameplay with RPG mechanics in a high fantasy setting."

News::Free To Play Games On Steam Are Top Sellers

The best selling games from the Steam marketplace are free to play games. There are plenty of Pay to play games such as Skyrim, but they are not getting anywhere near the attention of games such as DOTA 2, which is the top selling game in Steam at the moment.

oprainfall writes: "Chucks Challenge 3D is a challenge based puzzle game. Its about getting your player character to the goal, and getting rid of whatever is in your way. Its certainly not a new idea (it is the spiritual successor to Chips Challenge, an old PC game by the same creator), but an old idea done well can still be worthwhile."

News::PS4 adding HDCP off option, video editing, and game pre-loading soon

Sony has spoken about PS4 system update 1.70 in greater detail, noting that it will release soon.

Once it hits, you'll be able to disable HDCP in order to capture video via HDMI, enable a new auto-download feature that'll automatically pre-load select games you've pre-ordered in time for release day, and edit footage in a surprisingly powerful video editor called SHAREfactory.

Granted, videos still can't be directly uploaded to YouTube, but it is possible to export the files to an external USB device and then do with them as you wish. There are several other minor improvements to SHARE packed into 1.70 -- like the option to shorten the length of gameplay recordings -- and Sony says there are other features it's not ready to talk about.

News::Season 2 of The Walking Dead hits Vita next week

Informal poll, who plays the series on Vita? It seems like such a late addition platform that, coupled with its small-ish install base, a lot of people who wanted to play The Walking Dead have by the time the Vita versions keep coming out.

I guess that's why The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season is, "now available for Android-based devices via Google Play, NVIDIA Shield via TegraZone, and Amazon Fire TV and Amazon Kindle HDX via Amazon." Got to reach out to new customers. The second season will end up on all of these devices "in the near future" as well.

Those of you looking to score it on Vita, April 22 in North America, April 23 in Europe. You can buy episodes at $5 a pop or save 20% by going in for the season pass, which I assume everyone will do.

News::Here's what MLB 14 The Show looks like on PS4

MLB 14 The Show has made some welcomed strides forward on PS3 and Vita, from three system cross save to universal profiles to save data that carries over year after year.

But the PS3 version does show its age, so if you want crowds that don't look like horrific, disjointed monsters welcoming death, then the PS4 version might be for you. And we finally have a better idea of how it looks in motion. It looks better. Surprise!

News::I died an embarrassing amount in Hotline Miami 2

Anyone that has even the slightest bit of familiarity with Hotline Miami knows what defines it. The neon-swathed visuals, the gratuitous violence, the quick and unforgiving gameplay, and the blaring soundtrack all made the game as loved as it was. With regard to a sequel, any deviation from this formula would result in something that just wasn’t Hotline Miami.

So, Dennaton Games isn’t going to.

Judging by the build of Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number that was at PAX East, the pieces are in place to give fans of the original more of what they want. The two stages on display showed off the exact style that many have come to know and love, but also expressed how Dennaton is ready to offer something a little new.

News::Is Greenlight Running Out of Steam?

BNR: I saw it happening again. Another indie, fed up with being ignored by the masses, put his game up to download for free via the magic of Bittorent in hopes that somebody would pay it attention. Frankly, I cant blame him, though I hope his is the last I see for a while. Its not as though he hasnt done anything to put his game out there- he has an active Twitter page and has obviously put lots of work into promoting his game. In spite of this, however, I hadnt heard of Ciro Continisios game, UFHO2, or his company, Tiny Colossus, until I saw him giving his game away.

News::Scourge: Outbreak Review | Geekenstein

"In its best moments, Scourge: Outbreak can only aspire to be average, and at its worst its a frustrating mess that feels out of a different generation of games. Its price is so low that it might lure in the most penny pinching of gamers, but even then they would be better advised to find a copy of any of the Gears of War games for cheap, or perhaps try out one of its many knockouts currently sitting in bargain bins everywhere. Shooters, even those in the third person, have been oversaturating the market for years, and you have to do something extremely special to get noticed. Scourge: Outbreak doesnt do anything special. Its not broken, but its also not particularly fun even when firing on all cylinders, and thats the most damning thing of all." - Alex Santa Maria of Geekenstein
