There are a lot of questions to be asked here. For one, does Bigby Wolf really expect to recover from his injuries like that? Why is nobody reacting to Bigby? Why is this so goddamned hypnotizing? Is there a way to toggle The Wolf Among Us so we can play the whole game like this?
I'm not sure which alternate dimension Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare came from or how it got here but PopCap's wacky third-person shooter has been a pleasant surprise. Against all odds, the game keeps on giving: another free DLC pack called Zomboss Down is out today, adding eight new characters and the Cactus Canyon map for Gardens and Graveyards mode.
The character level cap has also been increased to level 30, complete with new challenges to conquer, and there are 200+ customization items for the new cast of plants and zombies. Even though the last DLC release was free, I'm still surprised to see this one follow the same plan and PopCap not overwhelm players with microtransactions. Gosh, what a terrific game.
The Legoland amusement part in Billund, Denmark is holy ground for fans of the colorful plastic bricks. Back in 1968, when the park first opened, it was an opportunity for charmingly British narrators to say things like "sprawling landscape land of make-believe."
That. That is a big number. I had to turn my phone sideways and everything to work that out. I don't even know how to say it. The staggering figure is the combined souls lost across both 360 and PS3, and the result of some 252, 163, 804 deaths overall.
Uli Kilian once set a world record by solving 100 Rubik's Cubes while running a marathon at the same time. So he's smart. And fit. But the smartest thing he's done might have been building a robot to tap his iPad screen in the middle of the night so that he wakes up to a ton of money in a mediocre free-to-play game. Just look at it. Beautiful, right?
This Holmes interview with Mew-Genics' Tommy Refenes at its first public showing explains every reason I badly want this game.
Cat animations based on personality sound great. I am already laughing at the mental image of, "dumb cats just fall on the ground." And the notion that you can accidentally condition a cat to be a jerk is great. As Holmes says, there are just so many variables at play with different cat types, AI, and whatnot. I am so excited.
Oh, and there was a bug where the dad cat would try and mate with the kittens as soon as they plopped out. Calm down there, Zeus.
