News::There's Actually A Point To Halo's Dumbest Achievement

There's Actually A Point To Halo's Dumbest Achievement

Halo: The Master Chief Collection has a so-called "mystery" achievement, whose description is simply "inscrutable, mysterious." The way to unlock it might seem totally arbitrary (and kinda lame), but it actually ties into a story from Halo's distant past.

News::7 Ways Far Cry 4 Trumps Its Predecessor

Crave Online: Far Cry 4s November 18th release date is drawing closer by the day are you ready? For a while, I honestly wasnt sure if I was. Though a two year gap between games is lengthy by modern AAA standards, its actually quite quick for the Far Cry series, which has seen gaps between entries of up to four years in the past. Regardless of how I felt back then, a run-in with some wild animals at PAX Prime convinced me otherwise. Im all in for Far Cry 4, which means I need to brush up on what separates the game from its predecessor, and why its speedy two-year development cycle relative to the changes being made is surprisingly deceiving.

The second outing by Full Control to depict the Adeptus Astartes making perilous expeditions into long lost, xenos-infested starships, Space Hulk Ascension Edition is a massive leap forwards from its predecessor. Along with a far broader mix of chapters, many of the massive criticisms levelled at the previous game have been directly addressed here, from atmosphere to progression.

WC: If it aint broke, dont fix it. The popularity of the Fallout universe is so great that the implementation of any sweeping changes or additions could be considered unnecessary. If the general public are to ever receive any solid confirmation of Fallout 4s existence, perhaps the features it should eventually be boasting are not revolutionary ones but instead, meek ones that promise to smooth out gameplay, diversify the experience and eradicate long-standing flaws.

News::Is Bioware Working On Another Mass Effect Game?

If there is one thing Bioware has done perfectly its creating games with interesting character development. From Mass Effect to Dragon Age, they have delivered storylines that are compelling while giving the player the freedom to either be a good hero or a selfish hero. Between the two mentioned games, the interface and gameplay were also rather revolutionary in my opinion. Unfortunately Mass Effect had somewhat of a bad ending. The trilogy ended in such a way that the player didnt want to stop playing. In other words, it ended bluntly.

News::Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition review | Thunderbolt

They say you only get one chance to make a first impression, and thats somewhat unfortunate for Capcom Vancouvers Dead Rising 3. The game begins somberly, with the player controlling everyman Nick Ramos a mechanic and one of the last survivors of a zombie outbreak. In the first 15 minutes, you are funneled through drab indoor environments, subjected to various zombie tropes and limited to a smattering of mundane weapons (lead pipes, wooden planks) for use against the zombie horde. On top of this, Nick moves around the game in a floaty, cumbersome way that is made more annoying by unwieldy and loose traversal mechanics. As dire as this all sounds, when the game finally opens up after the introductory sequences, Dead Rising 3 proves to be a fairly entertaining open world playground, despite its flaws.

I dig espionage stories. Faceless government agents running amok, corporate interests dominating the nation's politics, scruffy retired spooks pulled in for "one last job"; I eat that stuff up.

So I was excited when I heard about Majestic Nights , a conspiracy driven, episodic adventure game set in a neon-soaked hyper-'80s, a la Hotline Miami. I was hoping for John le Carre meets Scarface. What I got was X-Files fanfiction meets a game I don't want to play.
