News::DLC Quest (PC) Review - Twinfinite

Mike writes, "DLC Quest is actually two games; the aforementioned title and a sequel called Live Freemium Or Die. The core objective is the same in each game. The basic premise is as old as games themselves; you are the player (named Player) and your objective is to rescue the princess. The problem is that everything literally EVERYTHING; music, jumping, moving left is locked behind DLC."

News::The New Lara Isnt All That Cosmetically New

The reboot of Tomb Raider has certainly impressed me. Its a fantastic combination of a number concepts brought forward by various other games such as Batman Arkham City, Uncharted and even Dead Space. There is one part of Tomb Raider that I feel is a bit of a lie. Maybe lie is a bit too strong of a word, perhaps exaggerated is more fitting. What I am referring to is the new look Lara Croft.

News::Tweets of the Week: Bioshock Infinite

Scott from D Pad D Bags writes Bioshock Infinites taking the gaming world by storm this week. Even your humble narrator, known the world over as a skinflint and a cheapskate who looks hype square in the eye and then kicks it square in the balls, gave in to the games overwhelmingly positive reception and picked it up. News::Indie Intermission - 'Knightmare Tower' Next Time We Take The Stairs

"Knightmare Tower is a rather interesting vertical arcade game that is actually a surprising amount of fun. Designed by Juicy Beast you must progress up the tower by jumping (and cutting) the enemies below you in order to save all the princesses. Yes that is right it is quite the typical plot, you are a knight moving through a tower killing enemies and rescuing princesses, although the overall gameplay is somewhat unconventional. Knightmare Tower has great visuals and fantastic art assets that do remind me a lot of Castle Crashers, which is always a positive thing." - Alex Wilkinson

News::BioShock Infinite Review -- Stealthy Box

"Very few can claim to be the types of games that you can point to when someone wants to know what makes this medium special, showcasing what interactive entertainment can offer that others cant. This console cycle alone has offered up examples such as Portal, Mass Effect, and most recently Telltales The Walking Dead, but what really kicked it off was the original BioShock back in 2007. Irrational Games offered us an utterly unique setting unlike anything ever seen before, it presented the player with a brilliant antagonist and heavy themes, and the brilliant plot twist in the middle is something that would only ever work in a video game." -- Joe Garcia
