News::BioShock Infinite Review - Ownt

Bring us the girl, wipe away the debt. These few words are the catalyst that set the grand scheme of BioShock Infinite in motion, forcing protagonist Booker DeWitt to travel to the industrious floating city known as Columbia in search of a young woman named Elizabeth. Buried deep in dept within his own gambling addiction and alcoholic stupors, this appears to be Bookers only chance at saving himself from further destruction. But Columbias stark fanaticism and political zeal arent the only issues hell have to deal with, as the mysterious A.D. brand on his right hand marks him as the so-called False Shepherd, sending the whole city into a violent uproar.

GameZebo: When you were young, someone mightve told you that your personal worth can only be measured through your inward qualities. They mightve told you that friends and popularity dont matter, and that the content of your soul is what defines you as a human being. Well, the sooner you get all that saccharine nonsense out of your head, the sooner you can embrace the truth: Your Facebook friend count is what determines your value. Nothing more.

News::JIG: PuppetShow: Destiny Undone Review

JIG: If you were a kid with an overactive imagination, you already knew puppets, and most dolls, were bad news. Tiny porcelain mouths, unblinking glass eyes, an empty interior to hold all the souls they suck from sleeping children... well, you get the idea. So an entire town centered around puppets and dolls sounds more than a little creepy, and it's not entirely unfounded given Joyville's history. When one little girl comes home to find her father, the master puppeteer, missing and a spider-like dollhead scuttling out the door, she contacts you to help find him. Predictably, as always whenever malicious monocled mechanical spider-puppets are involved, things quickly get more complicated and more dangerous than you suspect. ERS Game Studios delivers another gorgeous mechanical marvel of hidden-object adventuring with PuppetShow: Destiny Undone.

News::WoW' Thoughts' On Apologizing for Cataclysm

MTB: With the latest round of developer interviews weve hit the point in the expansion where the developers apologize for the terrible experience we were subjected to called the prior expansion. I enjoyed Cataclysm, and while I admit it wasnt perfect, Blizzard seems a little quick to fall on their sword when discussing that expansion. Based on comments from Greg Street, Blizzard lost their way a little with some of the content in Cataclysm; particularly the overly-tuned trash in Heroic 5-mans at launch. I see where hes coming from, as the difficulty of pugging those dungeons was a major topic at the time, but I dont think its something that requires a public confession.

News::PC Port Report: Resident Evil 6

[Want to know how a developer handled the PC version of a multiplatform game? Check out the PC Port Report for the full scoop.]

The Resident Evil franchise boasts one of the worst PC ports of all time with its release of Resident Evil 4, but plenty of time has passed since then. The PC platform has become more prevalent, with some developers even developing for the PC first and porting the project over to consoles.

Well, it seems that Capcom has taken another stab at it and put forth a good effort towards Resident Evil 6 on PC, though this version isn't without its flaws. It has exclusive content and, unlike Resident Evil 4, controls just fine. This is assuming that, for whatever reason, you actually want to play it.

News::Disney Closes LucasArts: A Look Back At The 30 Year Old Company

Super PolyPixel - LucasArts had been in the midst of developing its newest title, Star Wars 1313. They had first announced it at E3 2012. It was probably the game that Star Wars fans were looking for: a game revolving around a bounty hunter in the underworld of Coruscant. Kotaku later revealed concept art image featuring Boba Fettand much of the world wept at what could have been. Although, there is some speculation that Star Wars 1313 might be revived through external development or licensing. But its best we dont hold our collective breath. We should instead take some time to remember LucasArts, a game company that was founded in 1982 and has probably been around longer than most of the gamers today have been alive. Many of the current generation of gamers, like myself, cut their teeth on early LucasArts games. Ballblazer and Rescue on Fractalus! were the earliest games from the company and were released in 1984.
