News:: Rocket League on Switch is just as fun as the other versions

Rocket League is just one of those games you can pick up and it'll always work out. You can shoot for goals, race around the field, and do lots of cool flips and tricks regardless of skill level. It's pretty much the ultimate pick-up-and-play game, and now it's made the transition to literal pick-up-and-play title.

So how does it fare on the Switch? It's the same Rocket League gameplay you know and love...albeit with a few more bumps and bruises.

News:: Giant 'Minecraft' graphics upgrade delayed to 2018

The Minecraft team had a bunch of news at their MineCon Earth convention, but the biggest news may be what's not happening. Mojang and Microsoft have delayed the launches of both the Super Duper Graphics Pack and cross-platform Switch multiplayer to sometime in 2018. They're not elaborating on the reasons behind the delay, but in both cases the features simply aren't finished. More information on the graphics delay is coming "soon," according to the creators.

News:: Here are the Golden Joystick award winners for 2017

The Golden Joystick Awards took place yesterday, one of the first major "Year in Review" events to happen thus far, with many of this year's best and brightest titles clamoring for the retro-chic trophy.

Nintendo's Zelda: Breath of the Wild walked away with the coveted "Ultimate Game of the Year" gong. The acceptance speech video, shown below, featured the Zelda team's humble thanks, with veteran producer Eiji Aonuma cutely quipping how grateful he was that Super Mario Odyssey arrived late in the voting window. Funny stuff.

Other big winners on the night include open-word adventure Horizon Zero Dawn, team-based massacre PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, ragtime platformer Cuphead and voice-actor (and former Destructoider) Ashly Burch, who walked away with two trophies. Sid Meir was also honoured for his contributions to the strategy genre, as well as spearheading the long-running Civilisation series.

News:: Review: Destiny 2 (PC)

The Destiny franchise has finally come to PC. I've always been interested in the franchise, but I never play my Xbox in any meaningful capacity so I knew if I were to ever get my hands on the series, it would have to be on PC. It makes sense -- both the loot-driven and FPS genres thrive on PC, so an amalgamation of the two feels right at home.

I had some concerns about jumping into the second game without any knowledge of the first, but it's worked in the past so I figured it could work again here. While there are some high notes, I feel as if Destiny 2 mostly misses its mark.

News:: Check out the first teaser for The Incredibles 2

There honestly isn't much to go on in this teaser, honestly, but it does confirm a few things. Baby Jack Jack has a couple of new powers, and the Incredibles theme still pulls at my heartstrings the way it used too.

The sequel will start immediately where the first left off with the Incredible family facing off against the Under Miner, and it'll tackle how their super powered family has to transition back to their normal lives.

The Incredibles 2 hits theaters June 18, 2018.
