News::All characters should be redone in the style of Bubble Bobble for maximum cuteness

Hamza and I are huge fans of Paul Robertson's pixel art and animation, though the same could be said of everyone here at Destructoid, I suspect. He's one of the best.

Trips to Robertson's blog are always a treat, albeit for different reasons. You might get cute, sexy, gross, eye-melting, or a combination of all four. His latest project falls under the former category.

"Bubble Bobble was the first game I ever played in the arcades and it pretty much decided what my career was going to be," he wrote. "So I thought I'd try out some Taito inspired characters."

We're glad he did.

The Schlitterbahn park in Kansas is home to the Verrückt, which when open will be the world's tallest waterslide. It won't be open for a little while, though, because some testers - going at 60-70mph - have been going airborne.

News::God Eater 2 getting Return of the Defense Unit DLC next month

God Eater 2 is getting DLC, Another Episode, meant to bring back older versions of the original game's Defense Unit. There are also some new characters being introduced initially as NPCs, but beating the DLC will make them playable in the main game.

The DLC hits Japan on June 5 for both PSP and Vita.

Also, I would like to make a meek appeal to Japanese cartoon and game creators to stop with eye patches forever.

Thanks for not calling it Sacr3d.

This new Sacred game features online (four players) and offline (two players) co-op, which will probably be its main draw when it releases on August 5 for PS3, 360, PC. Plus, your homies' voices can drown out those badly acted, hokey combat barks from the trailer.

News::Escapist Watch Dogs Review - No Hack Job

Watch Dogs is seen by some as the true herald of a new generation of videogames, a view that Ubisoft itself has done little to discourage. An open world game sold on impressive visual quality and the unique promise of "hacking the world," this story of cyber crime and info brokering is not quite the revolution it may first appear to be. It is, however, a slickly produced, highly polished example of sandbox gaming with an embarrassment of riches in the content department.

News::Tuesday Newsday: Battlefield Hardline, The Order: 1886, The Evil Within, and LEGO Batman 3

Today on Tuesday Newsday, we go over two games that Brett Makedonski previewed, which have both been delayed, The Order: 1886 and The Evil Within . The new Battlefield is Hardline, seemingly a cops and robbers theme rather than the usual military approach. LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham has been announced, MapleStory 2 shows off its first gameplay, Star Wars: Attack Squadrons is cancelled, and Spintires is all about mud and dubstep, apparently. News::Did You Know Gaming hits us with Part 2 of its Game Boy series

Did you know, the Game Boy Color had wireless capabilities via an infrared sensor? Or that the system also had motion controls? Did you know that the Game Boy Advance was supposed to have online and wireless multiplayer at one point?

I sure as hell didn't know any of this, and I spent countless childhood hours between the two machines. So sit back for another great episode of DYK Gaming, and let the angelic vocals of Vsauce3's Jake drive you down the more educational neighborhoods of memory lane.

If you have yet to see part one of the series, make sure to fix that by clicking here. Please do check out Did You Know Gaming's official YouTube channel if you have even a casual interest in gaming history and fun facts. I've been subscribed for nearly a year now, and I've always really enjoyed the content, even when it's for a series I'm not particularly interested in.
