News::The World Is Ready For A Pizza Simulator
No news here. Just the idle thought that, amongst all the simulators of things like rocks and goats, maybe someone could make a simulator about one of the world's most vital jobs: the guys who make the pizzas.

News::Lego's Amazing New HQ Is Finally Underway (And You Can Build Your Own)
Lego maniacs have another pilgrimage destination to add to their list: The brand's new "experience center" broke ground in Billund, Denmark yesterday. As you'd expect, the building itself looks like it's constructed from a pile of Legos. And thanks to a new Lego Architecture kit, you can start building your own version at home today.

News::Indie Fund backs minimalistic tactical shooter Due Process
A few minutes into learning about Giant Enemy Crab's Due Process for the first time and all I can think to myself is "How am I only now hearing about this?!"
It's a game built on the shoulders of Rainbow Six and SWAT in which players "draw up a plan John Madden-style" before initiating an assault on the defending team. The lo-fi aesthetic isn't much to look at it, but I feel that art direction works for a game like this -- feels more approachable.
The studio has been selected by the Indie Fund to receive financial support for further development of Due Process, which is how I learned of its existence. Indies helping indies.
If you're remotely interested in tactical shooters, be sure to watch this old-but-still-good video.

News::Final Fantasy Explorers gets a concrete release date and more new job info
There's finally been a release date hammered out for Final Fantasy Explorers in Japan, and it's headed for a 3DS nowhere near you (unless you live in Japan) this December 18.
There's also a savory bit of new information surrounding the game straight out of the latest issue of Jump Magazine, including some newly-announced Summons. Ramuh joins the roster, using electricity and teleportation abilities, and Fenrir is also available, with devastating water-based magic to take out enemies.
Jump magazine also reports a "Trance" system that allows you to perform special attacks without using AP or bolster your abilities for a limited time, which sounds a lot like Zidane's similar ability from Final Fantasy IX.
Is anyone else excited for this spinoff or are we all holding off for a different Final Fantasy title? Personally, I'm going to treat them like Pokémon and catch them all.

News::Super III is worth a look for fans of Super Meat Boy
Games like Super III remind me that, no, I haven't had enough pixel-art platformers yet and probably never will.
As you'll see in the video above or .gifs on Kickstarter, the main mechanic here is protagonist III's ability to teleport over obstacles, through enemies, or even around to the other side of the game screen -- it wraps. That combined with wall jumping and vertical environments means there's going to be some tough platforming to overcome. Also, puzzles and even boss fights.
Super III has a mission structure based on Super Mario 64, which is to say there's an overworld with portals and levels themselves have multiple objectives, some secret.
Super 91 Studios may be a young team -- this is its first commercial game -- but what's shown on Kickstarter has me feeling sufficiently confident. If you're digging it as much as I am but don't want to contribute a pledge, you can still help out by voting for Super III on Steam Greenlight.

News::Zenzizenzic now being published by Adult Swim Games
Making a case yet again as to why it's one of the most awesome publishers around, Adult Swim Games will be publishing the frenetic twin-stick shooter Zenzizenzic . After the game completed a successful Kickstarter campaign, Dutch developer Ruud Koorevaar was able to expand on the game and allow for Steam access, like prior titles Super House of Dead Ninjas and Jazzpunk.
There's also an additional gameplay mode called "Macro" that wasn't yet reached as a stretch goal on the Kickstarter campaign, but now it'll be added with the game upon its release. It's essentially an open-world roguelike variant of normal gameplay within Zenzizenzic, which sounds pretty fantastic, actually. Maybe even as fun as saying the name of the game. Dang, that's a lot of Zs.
Zenzizenzic is releasing for Windows, Mac, and Linux, but there's no concrete date as of yet.

News::In The End, Diablo III Just Shouldn't Have Been 'Always Online'
Last night, I stayed up really late playing Diablo III. I'm currently crashing at a friend's house, and their internet is spotty at best. I played a bunch of Diablo anyway.
