News::Dragon Age: Inquisition review Breach out and curse me - Lazygamer

Lazygamer: "Despite having only two games in the series, Dragon Age has a surprisingly chequered past. Origins was like a gift from The Maker himself, harking back to the RPG eras of old and delivering an all-round stellar experience. Dragon Age II, although not terrible, failed to live up to the firsts exceptional standards an odd thing to say about a BioWare game. Inquisition is not the same Dragon Age as Origins, but it manages to take the best of both previous games and deliver something truly spellbinding."

News::Preview: Non-Stop Action In KIXEYEs MOBA TOME: Immortal Arena

Hardcore Gamer: Action is good. Downtime is boring, farming is boring and last hitting minions is infinitely less satisfying than turning an enemy player into a pile of barely-recognizable remains. News::Kalimba Sneak Peek - Mouse n Joypad

Tickles writes -"Press Plays upcoming title Kalimba (formally known as Project Totem) is rather hard to describe. In the strictest sense it is a simple platformer but there is something about Kalimba that makes me think it is so much more. Built on Unity, this somewhat basic looking indie game has a certain charm that is hard to place. I have been fortunate enough to get early access to the first 8 levels of the game and so far I am pretty impressed."

News::Marvelous-looking metroidvania Ori and the Blind Forest pushed to 2015

Delays aren't usually all that interesting as a topic of discussion, but in the case of Ori and the Blind Forest , a revised release date is an excuse to further cement its name in your mind.

Ori is a tough platform adventure title built on the shoulders of Super Metroid and A Link to the Past, a good start, and then you see how it looks in motion: wonderful. Moon Studios has pushed the game's release on Xbox One and PC to early 2015 to allow more time for polish.

Looking at screenshots like the one above reminds me that, as long as I'm waiting, I should play more of Rayman Origins and Legends; those gorgeous games put a smile on my face every single time. I'm expecting to have a similar reaction to Ori and the Blind Forest next year.

News::The Demo is Dead, Long Live the Beta

Joe Lewis of The Koalition writes: Video games have come a long way since the flickering arcade displays of Computer Space and its kin, and theres been no better indicator of the industrys progression than the demos released alongside the games themselves. At the start of the eighth generation of home consoles, it may be time for developers to say goodbye to the demo, but not without something new ready and waiting to take its place. In the golden age of the arcade, and even in the dwindling arcades of today, non-interactive demos displayed constantly on unoccupied cabinets to present a games visual flavour to a prospective player. Since then the use of demos has fluctuated, but as physical media plummeted in price the compact disks of the PlayStation era were particularly popular demos flourished becoming a key part of video game marketing.

News::Contest: Win a code for The Sun and Moon!

The Sun and Moon released on Steam last Friday, and to celebrate Destructoid has 10 Steam keys to hand out to lucky readers!

The Sun and Moon, the winner of Ludum Dare 29, is a platformer with a unique mechanic: you can dive into the ground. Momentum is conserved but gravity is reversed, letting you fling yourself high into the air or deep beneath the surface. The goal is always straightforward -- collect the three orbs in the level and jump into the wormhole -- but spikes, endless drops and impossible heights make this more and more difficult.

For a chance at a code, just leave a comment below! Limit one entry per person, and you have until this Sunday, November 23 at 11:59pm Pacific to enter. Contest is open to anyone in the world.

Good luck! And remember, our Huge members get automatic entry into all contests (and double entries if you enter one manually), exclusive beta code giveaways for upcoming games, ad-free browsing, and more! And most of all, your $3 a month helps directly support the site you love. Try us out!

News::Brendan Fraser wouldn't like this next Killer Instinct Season 2 character

Kan-Ra seems about as menacing as an Saturday morning cartoon villain, but that's why I like him.

The mummy sorcerer is next in line for Season 2 of Killer Instinct. He'll be available first for Ultra Edition ($39.99) players on Monday, November 24, and then for Combo Breaker Edition ($19.99) players on Sunday, November 30.

You can find Kan-Ra's full backstory on Xbox Wire. He's "constantly balancing the curses he places on himself with the boons provided by dark magic and artifacts," which is a cool premise.

There's also a teaser for the human/raptor hybrid Riptor at the end of the video.
