News::Molyneux Promises Ludicrously Big For Godus

Rock, Paper, Shotgun: "True fact: pretty much all I do is interview Peter Molyneux. I try to do it as much as possible, because thats the only time Jim lets me out of my box. Coincidentally, Molyneux knows a thing or two about boxes. His most recent one, Curiosity, erupted into a poof cloud of half-truths and forgotten promises, but now hes sweeping them away to reveal a god game that might just be worth getting excited over. Admittedly, I say this with the caveat that Molyneuxs swung pretty wide of the mark in recent years, so take his promises to heart with a hefty swill of caution. That said, he describes Godus as an insanely ambitious massively multiplayer EVE-Online-inspired god game social experiment a 'reinvention' of the genre if ever there was one. Head below for details on multiplayer, crazy god wars, why Curiosity was instrumental in reaching this point, the lessons Molyneuxs taking from EVEs successes and failures, and tons more."

Riot Games is known to add a ton of silly references into League of Legends , and that's part of the reason why I love it so much. News::Destructoid- Review: Expeditions: Conquistador

DT:I do wish that the game eased up a bit in the early-goings instead of using the trial-by-fire approach that seems to be in place currently, as such an approach would've allowed the player to get better acquainted with the deep and intelligent battle system. News::Night of the Rabbit Review | Gaming Furever

The point-and-click adventure genre has been a longstanding bastion of quality in video gaming. Titles like Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island, and The Dig are ubiquitous to everyone that considers themselves a gamer, formative experiences for many, and archaic, if important, milestones in history for the rest. The amusingly ancient technique of "picking everything up and rubbing it on everything else" style of puzzle solution has always lingered like a dark cloud over more recent adventure games, and as more advanced, streamlined games continue to come out, interest in the storied genre has flickered to a mere candle in the dark. It's unfortunate, then, that a game as incredibly, meticulously crafted as The Night of the Rabbit goes unnoticed, as it solves nearly every problem inherent in the genre.

News::'Metal Gear Solid V' Sexism Controversy: All Smoke And No Fire?

Forbes - Theres something a bit peculiar about criticism leveled at video games over things like sex and violence. For the purposes of this post well set violenceschool shootings and the likeaside. Well talk about sex, which is much more fun. Models in a magazine might be just as scantily clad and sexed-up as a video game character, but we dont really think twice when we see them. But when we see a similarly-clad video game character, theres an instant backlash. And the women in video games tend to be way tougher and deadlier than any supermodel.

News::Memoria Review | ComboCaster

There is much more at stake, a mask is magic to erase memories of the caster and a mysterious figure is turning people into stone. The plot is by far the best part of Memoria, it involves knowledge that goes far beyond most fantasy stories. What is to be expected, because nobody takes a game of this genre waiting for action and a very dynamic gameplay. The player will find magicians, decades and several other fantastic creatures, but the involvement of Satinav, guardian Aventuria time, which is a pretty scary concept.

News::Starpoint Gemini 2 Launches On Steam Early Access Today, Along With New Trailer and Screenshots

LGM Games and Iceberg Interactive announced today the advent of Starpoint Gemini 2, the space sim/RPG successor to 2010s Starpoint Gemini, to PC via Steams Early Access program. Starpoint Gemini 2, now in full 3D, takes place two years after the end of the second Gemini war, with the Gemini League freedom fighters reduced to a leaderless band of fighters whittled down to low numbers. The Empire, on the other hand, have re-opened Starpoint to occupy the once renegade Gemini sector, and beyond. But after what looked like a bleak situation getting even bleaker, the Imperial warship fleets halted their armada and re-shifted their focus on fortifying the Starpoint. With rumors about something that even the Empire are frightened of, can it help turn the tide of the war? (Trailer and screenshots included in article).

News::Friday Night Fights: Post PAX blues

(This is my favorite photo from this year's PAX)

PAX Prime 2013 is over. The show floor is closed, the games are all packed away, the bars are a little emptier and Apathy finally made it home (way to go Apathy!). I wasn't at PAX this year, but watching my Twitter timeline over the past fews days as well as my Facebook page has left me sad: sad because my fellow Dtoiders are sad that they are no longer together, no longer singing and dancing and drinking and... well, more drinking.

I... I don't know if I can keep typing, I'm welling up over here just thinking about not being there and missing out on all those amazing stories I keep hearing about. Oh! Speaking of stories, I'd love to read some of your amazing PAX 2013 stories in the comments below!
