GearNuke: "We commend them on their diligence, seeing as how the longer it takes to develop an open world game; it is proportional to how long it takes us to complete that open world game too. However, there are times when you are just playing the game just for the sake of killing time and not receiving an ounce of entertainment from it. "

News::Perturbia Could Come To Home Consoles, After Getting Approved On Greenlight

One Angry Gamer "The upcoming first-person horror game called Perturbia is currently looking for support on Steams Greenlight. I recently did a news post about the game arriving on Greenlight, as well as what the game aims to achieve with its gameplay and artistic direction, comparing it to titles like Condemned: Criminal Origins and Silent Hill. Well, with such comparisons made, many gamers questioned if Imaginary Game Studios first-person, emergent horror title would arrive on eighth-gen consoles? Well, I asked and they answered."

News::Its the Best/Worst time for Plague Inc: Evolved to get Ebola

From the article, "Plague Inc.: Evolved is currently in Early Access on Steam,/a>, and the people at Ndemic Creations have been doing a pretty good job of adding new diseases and such to the game in a timely fashion. They managed to add Simian Flu in there as a Special Plague, just in time for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Now, with people in a panic over the Ebola outbreak scare in West Africa, it feels like it might be the best/worst time for the developer to add the Ebola virus to Plague Inc.: Evolved. A member of the development team had responded to the idea of implementing Ebola in the game on the Steam forums, and with the disease in the news it seems like it could be a good/bad time for it."

A Nest of Copper Foam Lets This Tiny PC Run Silently Without Fans

You eventually tune it out, but the constant whir of a desktop computer's cooling fans can take a toll on your psyche. It's like a buzzing mosquito that never strikes, and never stops. News::Watch Ro make some Minecraft candy pops in this episode of Nerdy Nummies

You might not know this about me, but I'm a big fan of Rosanna Pansino's Nerdy Nummies series. She's bubbly, fun, and puts me in a great mood while teaching me how to make treats based on my favorite videogame and other media properties.

This episode of Nerdy Nummies follows Ro as she creates Minecraft candy pops out of delicious snack size candy bars. I'm starving now, so I think this might be an awesome project for this weekend.

If you're new to Nerdy Nummies, I suggest checking out these Tetris cookies and Kirby macaroons. The Dragon Ball cake pops look delicious, too.

News::Lightpack - Hardware Review | Chalgyr's Game Room

Chalgyr's Game Room writes: When I first heard about the Lightpack Ambient Lighting System I was pretty stoked since I remember back in 2006 when Philips released their Ambilight line. I was very interested in it and as I worked for a Magnolia Home Theater, I was able to stare at it all day long. While the Ambilight line of televisions ultimately failed, what they were able to do with the ambient lighting is still ingrained in my memories as being another way to pull you into a movie, sporting event, video game, or TV show. When I cam across information for Lightpack I was near instantly hooked and thought to myself "I have got to get me one of these" and much to my viewing pleasure, I got one a few weeks later.

News::Sunless Sea - PC Preview | Chalgyr's Game Room

Chalgyr's Game Room writes: Lose your mind, eat your crew is the tagline for this title, from Failbetter Games, and they are not joking when they say it, either! My first character came with an engineer whose eyes were close to hatching. You heard me, hatching eyeballs. If the notion of your eyeballs holding something that was going to mature, burst out and try to eat your brain fails to make your skin crawl, you clearly have a less vivid imagination than I do!

News::So Many Me Review [Capsule Computers]

Christopher Chu from Capsule Computers wrote: Puzzle games have never been my strong suit, nor have I ever been gifted with the particular knack required to beat puzzles easily. However, So Many Me has me hooked, with its cute artwork and addictive gameplay. The title was developed by Extend Studio and published by ORiGO GAMES, who also published Rain Blood Chronicles: Mirage. This amazingly charming puzzle platformer is an absolute delight to experience, especially as the game builds up through your progression. Players follow Filo and his band of clones as they attempt to save the world from an unspeakable evil, one that threatens to destroy all life on the planet. Im quite surprised at how much fun Ive had with this title.

News::Destiny had the 'largest console beta ever' for a new IP

Did you get in on the Destiny beta? I did, but only after access was opened to all. Managed to play for about an hour which, after the cut scenes and loading, wasn't enough time for me to get a true sense of how I feel about the game one way or the other. Lot of similarily curious people, though -- Activision says 4,638,937 unique players participated in the beta.

That makes this "the largest console beta ever for a new video game IP to date" and "the biggest beta of this console generation by a wide margin," according to publisher Activision.

Makes sense, considering this was both a new shooter from Bungie and a game that the public has struggled to "get" prior to playing. I keep hearing how the beta has changed opinions of Destiny, often times for the better. I'm leaning toward that camp myself.
