News::Valve is preparing 'Team Fortress 2' for eSports

Valve plans to kick off the first round of beta testing for Team Fortress 2's competitive matchmaking mode within the next week or so, the company writes in an update on the game's Competitive Beta Steam Group. In the coming weeks, Valve promises to open up the new mode to select members of that group. Plus, it'll host limited-time stress tests with larger numbers of members.

"We know you'd all like to start testing now, and eventually we hope all of you will get a chance to play and share your thoughts," Valve writes. "But remember that all testing happens in stages and right now we're at stage one."

In Tales from the Borderlands, Telltale Games turns Gearbox's frantic alien shooter into a narrative-driven point-and-click adventure, broken into five episodes that were released across 2014 and 2015. All of these action-packed, emotional episodes will be collected in physical form on April 26th for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Rejoice, completionists and collectors alike.

News::'Grand Theft Auto' in VR might be too real

Virtual reality is getting closer to being an intricate part of gaming. Now we just need to wait for the titles. Modder Joseph Delgado decided that instead of being patient he would add VR support to Grand Theft Auto V. Using the Razer Hydra he was able to add gesture controls the the game and result is that he felt guilty taking out the digital citizens of Los Santos.

News::Nintendo's flagship store reopens with a new name and new look

In the decade since Nintendo World opened, the store has become a tourist destination, a popular hangout for kids and a mecca for Nintendo fans across the globe. With that last audience in mind, it shut its doors last month so it could be remodeled into something more befitting its status as the world's only Nintendo retail location. And with that new design comes a new name: Nintendo NY.

News::'Fallout 4' is the DICE Awards game of the year

Bethesda's Fallout 4 has taken home the top prize at the DICE Awards. The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' ceremony -- now in its 19th year -- also gave the developer best RPG and game direction for Fallout 4 and best mobile game for Fallout Shelter.
