News::Titanfall Arcade claims '8-bit is better with a Titan'
Hamza happened upon Titanfall Arcade, an official browser-based mashup of Titanfall and classic Atari games. Wondering why anyone would create such a thing, I couldn't help myself. I clicked.
Asteroids is playable now, with Missile Command and Centipede to follow. At least in the case of this first game, it sort of just ends after a point, encouraging you to share a link on Facebook or Twitter. I did not do that. I'm writing about it here, though, so I guess they won.
I had no real intention of sharing this with you fine people, but I'm not about to let my eardrums die in vain. (You'll want to turn your audio way down low if morbid curiosity gets the best of you too.)

News::The Powerpuff Girls return in Defenders of Townsville
Powerpuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville is heading to Steam for Windows, Mac, and Linux on March 14, 2014. Huh? Where did this come from?
Radiangames, a developer known for its line of Xbox Live indie games, was in need of contract work last summer and pitched ideas to various companies, including Cartoon Network.
"It turned out that Cartoon Network would have a Powerpuff Girls special TV episode coming out in January, and [one of the pitches, a "Metroidvania+Defender game"] would be a great fit," wrote Radiangames. "Just had to give it a little dose of Gunstar Heroes-esque mixed melee+shooting action to arrive at the final gameplay combination."
Wild! The aforementioned special, The Powerpuff Girls: Dance Pantsed, featured a new art style (and Ringo Starr, amazingly enough). The art direction has been replicated in Defenders of Townsville, as shown in this trailer, however there's an option for "classic" visuals.

News::Kojima would like MGS V: The Phantom Pain on PC
You know who else would appreciate seeing more Metal Gear Solid games on PC? Me. And a bunch of you too, I'm willing to bet. The more opportunities for people to play it, the better.
Speaking to GameSpot about MGS V: The Phantom Pain, designer Hideo Kojima said "PC, that's my original background. I originally created PC games. A long time ago I didn't want to rely on platforms to release games, so if people want it, I cannot make a formal announcement, but that is definitely something that I would like to do."
Konami recently held a press event for the Ground Zeroes, as you might've noticed over here with Max's coverage of the lead-in game today. Kojima also spoke with IGN about The Phantom Pain's length compared to the prequel, expressing concern that some players will complain about the former game being "too big to clear." If it's not too short, it's too long, apparently.
He said The Phantom Pain will be "more than 200x bigger than Ground Zeroes." I'm not sure what he's basing that stat on, specifically, but Kojima added "we'll have a lot of missions in there."

News::The Titanfall season pass isn't exactly revolutionary stuff
Alright, everyone -- let's play a game. I'm going to tell you what's included in the recently confirmed Titanfall Season Pass, and you act elated about what a totally sweet deal it is. Ready? Let's do this.
Titanfall's Pass offers three map packs for the price of $24.99 instead of buying them individually for $29.99. Pay attention to what platform you want the content on though, as it's only good for one system. There we go. That's it; we did it.
You'll have to excuse me if my enthusiasm doesn't quite seem genuine. I've made my thoughts on season passes pretty clear in the past.
