News::GRID Autosport Review | WGTC

Christian from We Got This Covered wrote: Racing video games are an interesting genre to study from an outsiders perspective. It is, after all, a genre that allows a dinosaur to throw turtle shells at an ape, a NASCAR fan to ride along with their favorite driver or M&Ms to come to life and do a few laps in dull fashion (dont ever let your parents choose video games from a bargain bin, kids). However, racing simulators are the strangest games to look at, because their attention to detail and realism tend to resist the escapism that other racing titles offer.

We Got This Covered wrote: Remember the days when your biggest concerns were getting frosted goodies, spending time with your friends, playing cool video games and avoiding chores? For some of us, those days of childhood are pretty far behind, but every now and again there are games that manage to bring those feelings back, tapping into that little bit of nostalgia while at the same time having their own unique and interesting feel to them. Monster Ate My Birthday Cake is one of those games.

Avoiderdragon: The GRID series has been the refuge of racing game fans who dont want to touch a Need for Speed title and dont have a console to play either Gran Turismo or Forza with. With that said, Codemasters seems to have grown accustomed to releasing racing games on a regular basis now, and the fear is that frequent new releases wont be as high in quality as previous ones. News::Should Aiden Pearce Return In Watch Dogs 2?

Forbes: I dont think a character should be replaced automatically for diversitys sake alone. If the star of Watch Dogs 2 was say, an Asian woman, that would be cool, but if she had the same character issues as Pearce, it wouldnt solve the games problems, and would just come off as disingenuous. Rather, the real question is whether or not Pearce is worth salvaging. I maintain that despite Ubisoft trying to create a new iconic character with Pearce, they failed to do so in any way other than visually. Pearces hat and coat may now be recognizable, but as a character he remains completely unmemorable.

News::Sniper Elite III Review | The Game Scouts

Tin Salamunic: Imagine playing one of your favorite titles and compiling a list of things you want changed or fixed to make the experience even better. Now imagine personally handing that list to the developer and having every concern addressed. Thats precisely how I felt after finishing Sniper Elite III. Ive always been a huge Sniper Elite fan, but V2 had its share of bugs and poor design choices. Well, Rebellions latest WWII shooter is not only a massive improvement over its predecessor; its undoubtedly one of the greatest sniper games of all time. I havent had this much fun with a sandbox since Far Cry 3Yes, its that good. This doesnt mean that Sniper Elite III is flawless. Poor AI is still a major problem and there isnt enough environmental diversity. But even with its faults, Sniper Elite III is an absurdly fun shooter that shouldnt be missed, regardless of the platform.

News::Pandora: First Contact - PC Review | Chalgyr's Game Room

Chalgyr's Game Room writes: Anyone who has played a Civilization title, especially Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, should feel right at home with Pandora: First Contact. The premise is basic enough, but still holds true to the themes established by Civilization games over the years. Explore a new world, research and improve your populace and attempt to ferret out opposing factions using diplomacy, science or military might. All in all, Pandora: First Contact is a solid if unspectacular title that is a visual upgrade over the much older Alpha Centurai, but does not quite deliver as much depth as I would have liked.

Yes, we all know it was horrible and a lot of people lost their lives for their beloved country but do we really grasp the meaning of war? Valiant Hearts: The Great War taught me to look past my superficial ideas about the topic and gave me a deeper insight in the meaning of war. This is a game that will really get you if you let go of reality and just go with the flow of the story. News::Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth Preview (Strategy Informer)

From Strategyinformer.com: "To make clear what Civilization: Beyond Earth truly is to the average gamer familiar with the series and its history, I need to explain something quickly - 2K, and thus Firaxis, the Civilization development team, can't legally make a game called 'Alpha Centauri.' That name sits with EA. For all intents and purposes Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth is a spiritual successor to Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, the 1999 space-faring classic so frequently referenced in Civilization titles since. The Civilization name doesn't just bring with it brand recognition, though - it also adds interesting wrinkles to the game, with some systems from the generally well-received Civilization V making it out of orbit and to brave new worlds.".
