News::Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is Better Than Reviews Are Saying | FPS General

I've been spending a lot of time this week playing Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, the latest game from City Interactive. As I've been following the game's launch since last week, Istarted coming across some reasonably negative or sarcastic reviews. Some writers have gone so far as to talk about how Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 focuses too much on sniping. Complaining about sniping...in a game called Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 isn't the best game that has been release in 2013, but it's far from the worst.

News::Capy Fine Racing GP to debut at PAX East

Capy Fine Racing GP is a new racer starring Capy and Double Fine characters to be released on 3.5” floppy discs at PAX East, Capy co-founder Nathan Vella has told us.

Studios Capy and Double Fine are sharing a booth at the event, and have teamed up to develop the racer. “Ken [Yeung] and Vic [Nguyen] made a game called Capy Fine Racing GP, which is a little jokey – but still rad fun – OutRun-style racer staring Capy and Double Fine characters,” Vella told us.

“The game will be released on the 3.5″ floppies that come inside the Capy and Double Fine limited edition boxed bundle, AKA the retail version of the Steam bundle that we just launched which includes both studios’ Steam games. We only made 200 boxes, and even then some of the floppies might not work, but the people who buy them will be allowed and encouraged to share the game.”

It is not intended to be a ‘serious’ game, added Vella. “It’s just something we did for pure fun and loving the idea of doing cool shit with our friends, in the spirit of the Capy Double Fine PAX combo. While it’s totally a real game, it’s also not at all a real game.”

If you have had the bittersweet fortune to play that game, then youll be familiar with the basic mechanics of Incredipede as you basically shuffle, stumble, roll, hop, and swim your way through the game. News::Review: Sniper Ghost Warrior 2

Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 is not better than any Call of Duty game -- okay, maybe Declassified . Despite developer City Interactive copying its formula, beat for beat, there are some readers that will grimace at this comparison. Unfair, some may call it. So, how about comparing it to what is the definitive sniping experience up to this point in videogames? Hell yeah, I'm referring to Silent Scope!

After Sniper Ghost Warrior 2, I'm starting to realize there is nothing a developer can do to eclipse the experience of depending on your own accuracy, patience, and physical endurance in Silent Scope. Sniper Elite V2 filled the void with shoddy stealth mechanics, while Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 seems to not try at all.

News::Injustice: Gods Among Us Season Pass detailed

Let's get straight to it: the Season Pass for Injustice: Gods Among Us includes access to four unannounced DLC playable characters in addition to alternate costumes for Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Deathstroke.

The pricing is $14.99 / 1200 Microsoft Points, which Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment says is "four [characters] for the price of three." I'm generally wary of paying up front, whether it be pre-ordering or buying a season pass, but at least we have something to go on here -- NetherRealm Studios previously did a pass for Mortal Kombat .
