News::Bandit Gaming: Batman 1986 Version for Windows

Carl Williams writes, "This installment of Bandit Gaming brings information on a new isometric game called Batman 1986 Version. This is not a whole new game but a hack, total conversion if you will, of another game called Head over Heels. Batman 1986 changes everything around to a style that is a mix of the 60s Batman (the one DC Comics wants to forget) and a cartoony version of the caped crusader."

News::Review: Bound by Flame (New Gamer Nation)

New intellectual property is a great thing for gaming. It is both full of promise and exciting for gamers as they get a chance to embark on an entirely new adventure. It breaks up the monotony and is the only surefire cure for sequelitis. However, with new IP comes many new challenges and risk that publishers tend to avoid. That is why you should always applaud a publisher for taking a chance and expanding our gaming choices and we certainly pass on those sentiments to Focus Home Interactive. We also have to commend Focus Home Interactive for taking a chance on Spiders Studios. They are a dedicated team of developers that took a great risk in producing this game. Unfortunately, as much as Spiders passion shines through the game, there are a number of issues that prevent this RPG from being the game it should have been.

"There are some genres that I can only call timeless. The classic first person shooter, the role playing game, and of course, the genre that redefined a generation of games, the platformer. News::Special Edition of The Whispered World Review - Mouse n Joypad

Jack writes - "Re-releasing products has been a popular past time of the digital entertainment industry, often branding their titles with familiar terms like special, deluxe or collectors edition. This tactic can sometimes be used to bundle the main content with additional extras released subsequently, allowing some games to include recent downloadable content. Some companies feel its an opportunity to fine tune and improve certain aspects, however many decide to capitalize on the situation and do very little."

Robert Roodhouse: War of the Vikings is a Multiplayer (only) team combat battle game, available as of April 15, 2014 for Microsoft PC. By Odins beard, it is an addicting one at that. News::Russia brands Sims 4 18+ because of same-sex relationships

Look, The Sims can get villainous. You play god and can deprive a simulated individual of basic necessities or trap them in a swimming pool or whatever. But Adults Only?

Due to a backwards 2012 law that restricts the promotion of same-sex relationships to minors, The Sims 4 has been branded 18+ because it has (and has always had) the option for same-sex relationships.

You suck, Russia. Please take all the Fox news pundits that idolize Putin and have them build ramshackle hotels for next time you host an international sporting event. And send pirozhki.

The campfire crackled and licked at the three figures sat around it, casting long shadows that stretched into the night. The sound of crickets pulsed in their skulls, getting louder, louder, the more they concentrated on it. There was nothing else but the fire, the crickets, and the darkness. Vast emptiness surrounded them, and dwelt in them, as they sat in their trance of silence. A gust of wind kicked up the dust and threatened the fire.

They flinched.

"It's time for sleep, boys. This fire ain't gonna last much longer," the eldest said, gesturing towards their sleeping bags. "Get some rest."

They flinched.

"One more story, then we'll sleep. Okay, grandpa?"

"Yeah!" the youngest chimes in, leaning forward in anticipation.

"Okay, okay," he said laughing, "one more." He leans back and scratches his beard in thought, iron hairs flickering bronze. "What kind of story would you like? A story..."

"Of monsters!" one said, grabbing his torch and shining it under his chin.

"Careful, now -- don't waste the batteries!" their grandpa said, urgently. He sighed and scratched his beard.

"Monsters, eh? I think I've got a good 'un. You've both probably had enough of the stories of deathclaws and cazadores, of gruesome mutants and murderous androids. How about I tell you the greatest horror I ever saw, all them years ago. The greatest horror, boys... is man.

News::Review: Cloudbuilt

When you seemingly combine Mirror's Edge, Mega Man and a Gravity Rush aesthetic by way of color pencils, my ears perk up. I did not know what I was getting myself into.

Cloudbuilt is hard. Like, real hard. When this review was more timely and I was clawing my way through levels, I would periodically take breaks to unwind with Dark Souls II when Cloudbuilt got too frustrating. And that's the biggest issues with Cloudbuilt. It's hard and it's frustrating.

The latter isn't so good.
