News::Fate Tectonics Preview: Time absorbing | Technology Tell

From the preview, "Players start out with a Fate, or deity essentially. The first, Penelope, is in charge of civilization, and sets a tribe of blubbering neanderthals on the path to enlightenment. She allows you the power to place tiles on a map that starts out at a fairly decent size. You have two options, rotate the tiles, and place them. The goal is to match the sides. Grassland goes with grassland, forest with forest, and ocean with ocean, for starters. Sounds simple right?"

News::Transformers Universe is One to Watch | gamrReview Preview

gamrReview's Patrick Day-Childs: "What is interesting about Transformers Universe in particular is the level of thought put into the special abilities; fights (at least from my brief hands-on experience) are very well balanced. Some characters benefit from a direct head-on combat approach, while others benefit from a buffing system, but all can hold their own. Transformers Universe actually went into open beta a couple of months back, but has thus far floated somewhat under the radar, so many gamers may not be aware of that fact. If you're interested, I would definitely encourage you to sign up to the public beta here."

efore you start your adventure you need to create your character. This means color scheme, portrait, biography, weapon skills, class and stats. Going in with an idea of what kind of character you want is beneficial as you can distribute points and skills in the most effective way. For example, a priest/cleric requires wisdom, while a mage requires high intelligence.

News::Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments Review | PlayStationing

Ben @ PlayStationing: "I have dabbled in a few other games featuring the famed detective in the past and always found them to be very stale and unenjoyable. Maybe this made me enter the game with a bias to some degree, as first impressions were unfavourable. However, the more I played the more I began to enjoy Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments by developer Frogwares. The game undoubtedly has its rough edges, and unfortunately these seem to be the aspects of the game that are most immediately presented to the player, but by the time I completed the first case I had discovered a number of finer details and mechanics that made for a very enjoyable and quite rewarding experience for fans of the iconic detective and the confirmed bachelor John Watson."

News::Five Ambitious MMOs That Never Took Off

Kevin from Denkiphile: "The first Id ever heard of Titan was at the height of my World of Warcraft career, which was also the same time that several games, touted as WoW-killers, came onto the market and failed miserably. It made sense to me at the time that the only thing that could kill WoW was Blizzard themselves, but this also eventually changed with the advent of session-based, microtransaction-supported games like League of Legends. Titan was supposed to revolutionize and revitalize the MMO genre, but it certainly was not the first to crash and burn before its first flight. Here are some MMOs whose ambitions flew them too close to the sun."

News::Dex Preview | The Game Scouts

Shezka Foxe: I wasnt fortunate enough to grow up with the 90s sci-fi video game classics like many of my fellow colleagues. In fact, my experience with the genre is very limited and recent. Usually its the RPG realm where I feel comfort and familiarity. However, Dex manages to transcend my initial expectations of the sci-fi adventure world. I had the pleasure of playing the Early Access version of this newly released indie gem as the Alpha #1 Build is currently out, and to my pleasure, Dex is quite remarkable. While there wasnt a main narrative as far as I could tell, developer Dreadlocks Ltd has created a surprisingly immersive cyberpunk adventure with a very unique aesthetic.

News::Beyond Flesh And Blood Preview - Mouse n Joypad

Johnny writes -"There is so much to Beyond Flesh And Bloods mechanics that it is simply not easy to explain, the game is complex and fun, even a bit unconventional to the shooters that we are all used to playing in an extremely good way. Pixel Bomb are creating something fresh in a genre that has, well lets face it, become somewhat tired and rinsed of all its originality. They understand that taking on ideas from their community will only strengthen their game, for instance they are adding in shops and businesses to the future Manchester environment that are existing there today, so players can actually play this game and wage war on a street that they recognise."

News::The Crew: Ubisoft "confident" that Uplay will hold up at launch

Dealspwn reports: "he Crew is breathtakingly ambitious. As I reported in our extensive hands-on preview, it's an attempt to blend MMORPGs and racing games together into a single package, set in a 5000km² adventure playground shaped and themed like the United States, with the ability to form persistent crews and factions with other players for competitive co-op. It's a brilliant idea, and one that could absolutely smash the genre wide open if it works. However, there's an elephant in the room. Uplay. Ubisoft's digital platform has historically proved itself unfit for task during game launches, such as we saw with Watch Dogs and Far Cry 3, whereas The Crew hinges around its multiplayer as a core part of the experience. Will it hold up? Naturally I made sure to pose the question to creative director Julian Gerighty."

As we draw closer to the international release date for Bayonetta 2, a lot of people continue to bring up the exclusivity deal. "Will we get it one day on other platforms," people ask constantly, hoping that one day it will see a release outside of Wii U. Of course, producer Hideki Kamiya is there to shut those hopes and dreams down.

Speaking about the deal, Kamiya notes that if you want to see it on other platforms, "ask Nintendo" -- implying that there's no chance, and to "try asking for Mario and Zelda too." Check out the full quote below.
