In fact, the franchise that helped make the first-person shooter genre a hit with PC gamers has just returned with a bullet-riddled vengeance, via the release of Wolfenstein: The New Order, its first entry in approximately five years.

Hola, Tropicans! It is time for all those noble El Presidentes out there to rise again with Tropico 5, the latest installment of Kalypso's Caribbean-flavored city simulator. Players will again take up the role as El Presidente, leading his beloved people through colonial times, the World Wars, the Cold War and beyond into modern times by any means necessary. Each time period comes with a rising level of complexity, but provides ample time for players to adjust to their role as leader. Fans of the series will find enough improvements about this game to find it enjoyable; while new players may have a little bit of a challenge adjusting if they skipped the optional tutorial and chose to jump right into the campaign or multiplayer.

News::Blade Symphony Review | PCGamer

"Traditional fighting games typically have a roster of two dozen fighters, but Blade Symphony lets you mix and match between four characters and five sword types, all of which stand out against each other. Battles take place in 3D arenas, and while there are a number of extra modes, such as two-on-two and Hero Mode (which pits one superpowered swordsman against the rest of the server), the most memorable matches come from formalised one-on-one fights." - PCGamer

News::The Star Wars Games EA Needs To Use As Inspiration

Cinelinx " We all know by now that EA is the official supplier of Star Wars games thanks to them buying the license, but what should they do with it? In my opinion, they should compliment the movies like books have done over the years. There is a new rule within the Star Wars universe that everything is now basically reset and everything will be approved and add to one big universe. So EA could easily do that as video games tell a story just as well, if not better, than movies do."

News::White Noise Online wants you to scare and be scared with friends

White Noise Online is an indie horror game from Milkstone Studios that wants you and your friends to be terrified together. Team up with three others via Steam to look for clues together while avoiding some type of creature roaming the dark woods while you stumble around armed with just a flashlight. In short, it's Slender with additional players.

The game is available now on Steam for $6 with its introductory discount of 25%, and if you plan on diving in with your friends you can pick up a 4-pack of Steam keys with the 25% discount as well.

Personally, I've never seen the appeal in games like Slender or the bushel of clones heaped upon us by developers looking to capitalize on its success. I know YouTube Let's Play personalities love to freak out with jump scares and overreact with the best of them, but they just seem a little pointless. White Noise Online has a multiplayer bent at least, which is certainly something I haven't explored within the genre, and I'll be investigating it on Steam. Feel free to join in sometime!

News::ModVive Reviews| Transistor Talking Sword 2.0

Transistor is a tale of a woman, a sword, a conspiracy, and the virus trying to wipe them all out. And thats only the first half of the game. Developed and published by Supergiant Games, the team responsible for the excellent Bastion, Transistor is both alike and different from its big brother. Sharing an isometric perspective, a weapon as big as the character wielding it, and a system for gaining experience and leveling up, its easy to claim that Transistor is merely a pseudo-cyberpunk coat of paint on the basic Bastion experience. But then the Turn() function is revealed and that premise is immediately proven false.

News::Bit Boy!! Arcade is colorful and strange

Bit Boy!! Arcade has a second trailer, though I'm quite sure I never saw the first one. But I did investigate, and for a game with WiiWare origins shrunken down to the 3DS, it looks quite good. I'm not sure how I missed it, given its propensity for neon colors and surreal digital landscapes.

There's also a floating head that appears to be the developer. I'm not quite sure what that's all about, but hey -- it looks like it might be a good time if you've got a few bucks to spend. I'm particularly interested in the maze-like levels and voice acting.

If it's anything like it is in the trailer, I feel like I'm going to be in for a treat, especially since it looks like it makes good use of depth for 3D. If it looks like your cup of tea, it's available in the eShop now, floating head included.

News::Watch Dogs Midnight Launch Which Stores Will Be Open

Watch Dogs is one of the most anticipated releases in some time. Some games feel right to gamer players, and this is one of them. The fact is, we all want to believe that modern technology benefits us all. Watch Dogs is about to blow that theory into oblivion, (no relation to Bethesda lol). Another fact is that game players world-wide are eager enough to go out into high streets and shopping centers to await its launch.
