The Elder Scrolls franchise stands among the most venerated game series ever. For almost twenty years, the various games have offered players tremendous roleplaying experiences. When Bethesda announced Elder Scrolls Online, fans wondered if the magic of the single-player games would be captured. Since then, MMO-Play kept abreast of the developments of this mmorpg and this is why you should be looking forward to Elder Scrolls Online.

News::Gioteck Reviews PayDay2

Gioteck reviews PayDay 2. Excerpt: "Firstly, a recap as to the premise of PayDay2. It is a FPS shooter, where you are a crook and can take on a variety of short but exciting missions to rob banks, jewellery stores, smash up (as part of protection racket activities) shops and malls, and generally steal as much money and jewels as you can as you go along. Whilst the game can be played single player, we will state here and now that the game requires online play for either friends or stranger based co-op to be worth investing in."

News::Double Helix reveals a brand new Killer Instinct fighter

Fresh off of revealing its pricing scheme and initial launch fighter counter, the folks over at Double Helix have revealed a brand new female character for the new Killer Instinct. Although speculation was abound that she may have been popular Killer Instinct fighter B. Orchid in disguise, it seems as if she's a brand new character named Sadira.

Not much is known from the initial reveal trailer, but it seems like she has spider-like qualities of some sort, including web based projectiles. Based on the brief video she's a pretty intriguing addition, and I hope the rest of the game follows suit.

Gioteck reviews Ducktales Remastered. Excerpt: "For readers of a certain age, DuckTales brings back memories of a great cartoon series. Before Disney did 3D, a lot of their content was nice and cute, and clean. DuckTales, though, had some great humour, some great stories and some amazing characters with a slightly rough edge (mind you it was STILL Disney, and in no way comparable to Danger Mouse, Count Duckula or the later Speilberg master piece of the Animainiancs!). News::It only took 8 years: Microsoft Points are finally gone

The long and storied history of Microsoft's invented Xbox Live currency MS Points has finally come to a close. Despite standing by the system as recently as last October, an update today has phased out what the community has "affectionately" dubbed Microsoft Banana Dollars/Moon Money, in favor of good old fashioned official local currency. Now, instead of trading your real money for fake money and then buying games with the latter, you can simply purchase content with the former.

Presumably, the change is going into effect now in preparation for the upcoming Xbox One. Though the Xbox 360 is nearing the end of its lifespan, I suppose this is a case of "better late than never." It appears that the update allows users to purchase content for the exact amount necessary, rather than only allowing money to be added to accounts in set increments, which is probably most often cited as the reason people wanted the switch to begin with. Huzzah!

News::The Weekend Hotness: Pimp daddy Inafune

The man, the myth, the legend, Keiji Inafune will be attending PAX. Hopefully when I meet him again, I won't do what I did at E3: back immediately out the room, grab Max Scoville by the arm, and exclaim, "MOTHER F*CKIN' KEIJI INAFUNE IS IN THERE!"

This weekend, I put Hyperkin's Pixel Art Controller through the wringer, Sup Holmes? gets vertical with Jake Kaufman, Cblogger Handy welcomes you to the world of knock-off gaming, Chris Carter goes beyond with his Disney Infinity review then cracks open his boxed copy of New Super Luigi U, and Destructoid will be throwing a PAX party worthy of Caesar.
