News::Grand Theft Auto V characters revealed with a short bio

The switch wont be available all of the time but will be vital in the structure of the gameplay and storyline.

News::In-depth Review: Dishonored The Knife of Dunwall - Electronic Theatre

It feels like its been quite some time since Dishonored made its hugely impressive debut, reinventing the first-person stealth gameplay by setting it in a world where high-tech gadgets existed, but were rarely in your possession. Instead, the player had to rely on their own creativity, cunning and a little bit of magic. Following the first downloadable content (DLC) pack, the abstract Dunwall City Trials, The Knife of Dunwall is a return to the more narrative lead experience of the original campaign.

News::Notch's new game screws with your head in the best way

Notch's new game is called Drop, and it's a simple little speed typing game that you can play right in your browser. Well it starts off simple enough, but then things quickly change and you start to doubt your typing skills as you fail over and over again.

Basically, imagine Super Hexagon as a typing game. Notch says Terry Cavanagh's game was an inspiration for Drop, along with the ending of Fez , and his own ceiling. The time you have to type out letters decreases the longer you go, and missing a character increases speeds even more. How long can you last?

News::The 25 Mindblowing Things You Need to See After Beating "Bioshock Infinite"

Complex: If you knew anything about Ken Levine and Irrational Studios' Bioshock: Infinite before you even played it, it's that the story would be top-notch. The game didn't disappoint, with an ending that's one of the most convoluted, multi-layered, head-scratching slow-burner conclusions to a story in recent memory, game or not. It was sophisticated, emotional, smart, brilliant, and most importantly, made you want to play through the game again the moment it ended. That said: Some people have gone the distance to dig deep not just into the facts of Infinite's story to piece together the truth about some characters, but to find the easter eggs, clues, and mind-blowing moments that went right by us (and were right under us), not just on the first play-through, but on the second and third times, too. As such, we've dug deep into the layers and corners of Bioshock Infinite obsessives to help you not just piece together its complex storylines, but some of its greatest secrets, too.

News::Star Trek: The Video Game Review | GodisaGeek

GodisaGeek: " I feel any game based on a franchise with a long history and lots of fans deserve a summary pun. So, Star Trek boldly goes where so many have gone before: to the not-so-deep space of generic movie tie-ins. A wise man once said that its the little things that count, and that is Star Treks biggest problem: every time you get into a groove and settle in, there are annoying platforming sections or a bug that frustrates you. Star Trek appears to have its heart in the right place, and you can tell the team wanted to create a solid entry to the long-running franchise, but it just falls too far short. If youre a massive Trek-fan, Star Trek is worth taking a spin for the story and presentation. For those less interested, there is simply too much else to recommend before trudging through Star Trek; it is simply too bloated for its own good. And besides, after the initial movie release fever, this is likely to warp speed straight to a bargain bin near you."

News::AMD Releasing Radeon HD 7730 At $50?

Gaming Blend "In the language of the fanboy Console War, that would effectively put the 7730 a minor step ahead of the PS4's APU theoretically. However, as indicated in the test threads from Coolaler, the 7730 actually has Vantage scores that rival and outdo the PS4 nicely if paired with a fast enough processor. If the 7730's entry price is $50, though, that's not that bad a deal at all, as you would still be able to play all the latest games, on moderately high settings. News::Frame Rating: High End GPUs Benchmarked at 4K Resolutions

One of the drawbacks to high end graphics has been the lack of low cost and massively-available displays with a resolution higher than 1920x1080. Yes, 25x16/25x14 panels are coming down in price, but it might be the influx of 4K monitors that makes a splash. PC Perspective purchased a 4K TV for under $1500 recently and set to benchmarking high end graphics cards from AMD and NVIDIA at 3840x2160. For under $500, the Radeon HD 7970 provided the best experience, though the GTX Titan was the most powerful single GPU option. At the $1000 price point the GeForce GTX 690 appears to be the card to beat with AMD's continuing problems on CrossFire scaling. PC Perspective has also included YouTube and downloadable 4K video files (~100 mbps) as well as screenshots, in addition to a full suite of benchmarks."

News::They Changed Fighting Games, Now Theyre Making Something New

by Evan Narcisse Tom and Tony Cannon know about building communities. Specifically, communities where people compete in games in which characters pummel each other sensless. Now they want to make a game where avatars live together in (relative) harmony. But they say that Stonehearth the city-building game that theyre trying to fund via a just-launched Kickstarter campaign isnt all that far removed from Street Fighter. Seriously. Maybe you dont know their names. You almost certainly know of what theyve done, though. Heard of EVO, the world-renowned fighting game tournament? They started it with their friends. Ever visited Shoryuken, the leading website for fans of that genre? Its another brainchild of theirs. Remember when all of a sudden playing a fighting game online wasnt a horribly laggy experience? Bryan Johnston at El33tonline writes: "At face value Sacred Citadel looks like a dream fantasy RPG beat em up. Its got four unique character classes, three player co-op, character development, a multitude of killer weapons to discover and plenty of scenic levels to conquer. It seemed to possess a very similar feel to one of the greatest co-op fantasy beat em ups on the Xbox Castle Crashers and if that held true for the duration of the game, Sacred Citadel promised to be a great arcade title. News::The REAL Duke Nukem Forever released 16 years later

Gearbox's Duke Nukem Forever may be a let down, but things are looking up with the release of a fan-made mod that recreates Duke Nukem Forever's E3 2001 trailer in the Duke Nukem 3D engine. The results are glorious.

Let me tell you. I have rode a donkey at approx. 3 miles per hour while shooting pigs with a shotgun, as a nuclear explosion happens off in the distance. Like I said, glorious.

This five map mod can be downloaded for free at Mod DB. You will need drop the "duke3d.grp" file from your Duke Nukem 3D folder into DNF 2013's directory to play the game. Whether you have a CD copy, GOG download, or Steam version, it should run.

DNF 2013 includes all the nice mod plugins like high-res texture, widescreen support, and mouse look. The whole thing is an unbelievably well done package for something that is basically a joke and bizarre fan service.

Hats off to Gambini and Mikko Sandt at MSDN for creating this unexpected, faithful tribute.
