News::The Walking Dead: Season 2, Episode 1 - All That Remains Review | GamingAge

GA - "Itll come as no surprise that Season 2 of The Walking Dead by Telltale Games is just as bleak as the first five episodes that made up Season 1. Considering the gut-wrenching ending and cruel cliffhanger that came before, I wasnt expecting my experience with the newest episode to be particularly pleasant."

News::The Walking Dead: Season Two Episode One Review / Game Insider

From the outset it is clear Clementine like Lee is the star of the show. Only this time users are placed in a more vulnerable and uncertain role as the young survivor. A little older than when we last saw her, Clementine is quickly thrust into a stark reality with only her wits and cunning at her disposal, making for an amazing start to a new season.

News::Contrast | Review - AWESOMEoutof10

AWESOMEoutof10's Andy Astruc sticks to the shadows and performs acrobatic tricks with aplomb in Compulsion Games' Contrast. "Little collectibles must be collected and optional scenes must be seen, but Contrast is a short game with a story to tell and not much else. The platforming and puzzles which threaten to be interesting at the beginning quickly begin running on the spot, and various glitches quickly rub any remaining charm off the adequate gameplay, so an unfair amount of pressure falls on the story and world. The latter is excellent, but experiencing it is hampered by the linearity, and the former simply does the job."

News::Is Microsoft Going to Release Its Own Gaming PC?

According to Kara Swisher at AllThingsD, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has floated the idea. With Ballmer set to retire, he probably won't be there to see the project through (assuming, of course, that it makes it past the planning stages) but the very fact that it's being discussed suggests that Valve's Steam Machine project has caught Microsoft's attention.

News::Blackguards: Chapter II Review | Calmdowntom

"As a huge Final Fantasy Tactics fan this game piqued my interest from the onset. A turn based strategy where the player takes turns in issuing combat commands to a group of adventurers. Thankfully unlike a lot of other turn based tactic games the turn sequence is per character and not per team. This was always a favourite of mine as I felt it lent itself more to strategic play than every character in a team acting together before the enemy could respond and vice versa." says Calmdowntom

News::Perfect World Entertainment expanding to consoles

With the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, this may just be the console generation that gets serious about MMOs. Publisher Perfect World Entertainment has announced its plans to get into console development, both with existing games currently out on PC and upcoming titles.

"Bringing our titles to consoles is a natural progression for us, and we can't wait to set a new standard for console MMORPGs and other genres," said CEO Alan Chen.

Specific games were not named -- those are said to be divulged next year -- but some of Perfect World's current crop of games are Neverwinter, RaiderZ, Star Trek Online, Rusty Hearts, and Jade Dynasty. For that matter, Blacklight: Retribution is already available for PS4 -- though it was self-published by developer Zombie Studios for that release.

News::Owners of Mojang's Scrolls can gift a copy to a friend

If you own Mojang's Scrolls , you will be able to give a copy to a friend as a gift this holiday season. All you need to do is log into your Mojang account, and click on the "Send to a friend" button. A code will be sent to the email that you wish to gift the game to, and the receiver will have until January 31, 2014 to redeem the code.

I think it's awesome that Mojang is doing this, because it could basically double the number of people who own the game. That's if everyone sends out a key to a friend, and if you don't have someone to send it to I'm sure you can find someone on reddit or our forums. Don't let that free game go to waste!

News::The Walking Dead Season 2 Ep 1- All That Remains review | TechRaptor

If the first episode is anything to go by, season Two of Telltales Walking Dead is a refinement on its critically acclaimed predecessor. Though it has inherently lost some of the originality and novelty that made earlier episodes so special, All That Remains is a promising start that effectively establishes the new season. Though one could easily criticise this episode is somewhat unremarkable, it should be praised for how well it handles things that were problematic previously. All That Remains isnt the best the Walking Dead has to offer, but it paves the way for future greatness quite successfully.

News::BioWare gives a status update on Dragon Age: Inquisition

Before its teams head off for the holidays, BioWare has shared where it's at with Dragon Age: Inquisition . Since the game's last big push at PAX Prime, the studio has gotten to a point where the main storyline is playable from start to finish. For reference, the final game is scheduled for next fall on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

In addition to the screenshots below, BioWare posted some more behind-the-scenes pictures, a number of which are centered on environments. "It is very important to me that the game cover a large variety of locations," said executive producer Mark Darrah. "Not only does it expand the possibilities of our storytelling, it also gives us an opportunity to show a lot of different things. In a game that places a lot of emphasis on discovery, this is very crucial."

If there's on thing I can say about Inquisition, it's that BioWare is putting the Frostbite engine to good use. Coming off of Dragon Age II especially is quite the leap forward.
