News::Perfect World Entertainment expanding to consoles

With the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, this may just be the console generation that gets serious about MMOs. Publisher Perfect World Entertainment has announced its plans to get into console development, both with existing games currently out on PC and upcoming titles.

"Bringing our titles to consoles is a natural progression for us, and we can't wait to set a new standard for console MMORPGs and other genres," said CEO Alan Chen.

Specific games were not named -- those are said to be divulged next year -- but some of Perfect World's current crop of games are Neverwinter, RaiderZ, Star Trek Online, Rusty Hearts, and Jade Dynasty. For that matter, Blacklight: Retribution is already available for PS4 -- though it was self-published by developer Zombie Studios for that release.
