News::Destiny's Iron Banner Event Doesn't Seem All That 'Iron'
Destiny's Iron Banner multiplayer event was expected to be a hardcore, no-holds-barred fracas. It's called "The Iron Banner," after all! But as it turns out, it's not as extreme as some players were hoping it'd be.

News::Are you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence?
In this developer diary for Killing Floor 2 , Tripwire Interactive creative director William Munk and fellow staff members take us on a viscera-spattered, guided tour through the game's Massive Evisceration and Trauma system; or MEAT, for short. Drawing inspiration from the GHOUL engine used in Raven Software's Soldier of Fortune, it doesn't fail to impress with its graphic depiction of anatomical deconstruction.
While the original game boasted only five zones on the body that could be targeted for destruction, the second installment in the series offers that number in only the head, bringing the grand total to twenty-two individual points that can be shot or sliced off.
So, throw on your favorite butcher's apron, put your feet up, and enjoy Tripwire's latest Danse Macabre.

News::The other two Castlevania GBA games are also coming to Wii U
As Chris reported this morning, Konami added Castlevania: Circle of the Moon to the Wii U Virtual Console today, priced at $7.99. This is good news, but it gets even better: the remaining two Castlevania titles for Game Boy Advance, Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow, have been confirmed for Virtual Console as well. Both will release on Thursday, October 16.
A match made in heaven, really. The GamePad is one of my favorite controllers and GBA games look surprisingly great on its screen. It'll be nice to have all three titles in one place, too. But I can't not make an obligatory mention of how this is a missed opportunity for the 3DS.
One of these days, Nintendo. *shakes fist*

News::Ziggurat welcomes its upcoming official launch with a great-looking trailer
A couple months ago, Rob wrote about Ziggurat making it on Steam Early Access, and it looks like this one will not be wasting away there for long before its full release, which developer Milkstone Studios says is "very close."
The video above is just about everything you could want in a launch trailer. It has high energy, bright colors, smooth animation, and the game itself looks fun as heck. And hey, it features a quote from our old friend Jim Sterling! Bonus.
There is no hard date set for the official launch of Ziggurat, but those who are interested may want to watch its Steam page. It could go up any time now.
