The Gamer Headlines reviews Artifex Mundi's latest project called "Grim Legends 2: Song of the Dark Swan", which was The Collectors Edition. Unlike its predecessor "Grim Legends: the Forsaken Bride", this adventure/hidden object game is loosely based on The Six Swans by the Grimm Brothers and The Wild Swans by Hans Christian Andersen. Meaning, this second sequel is entirely separate from the previous story, except for these major to minor attributes: female protagonist, dark magic, magical potions, friendly animal assistants, and ancient fortresses. Astonished and quite satisfied from spending non-stop hours in this virtual fairytale setting, the writer has recommended for future players (who enjoy casual adventure, puzzles, mini-games, and hidden object games) to check out this final product but also provides some reasons about why this high quality game should be noticed and deserved this high score.

Legionary: a professional soldier in the Roman Army.

Those were the words that appeared on my whiteboard above a picture of a Roman soldier wielding the iconic Gladius and Scutum. But before the lesson could begin, one student pulled an inquisitive face and asked, "Isn't that what the bad guys are called in Destiny?"

For a moment, several students in the class were distracted. Of course, they were right. In Destiny, Mars is inhabited by the "Cabal", and the bulk of their forces are named "Legionary". Regardless, this distraction could have briefly derailed the lesson had I not played the game myself.

Thankfully, I was able to turn this query into the lesson starter.

Its going to be another expensive week if youre in the market for new video games, because there are definitely more than a few options to check out. The major new releases are Alien: Isolation (multi-platform), Project Spark (PC/X1), Driveclub (PS4), and NBA 2K15 (multi-platform). There are also quite a few re-releases of games that have been re-packaged and branded as a GOTY edition, definitive edition, or a special console release edition. VRFocus - Earlier in the week VRFocus reported on the launch of a new virtual reality (VR) experience named Heavy Walker from Aliens, Trolls and Dragons developer Kubold. The videogame, which is fully compatible with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) and its second development kit (DK2), was released for free on PC. Now it has arrived on the official Oculus VR Share portal, where it can again be downloaded at no cost.
