News:: Check out this cool Street Fighter hack for Super Mario Kart

YouTube channel NintendoDuo has uploaded a fun video of beloved SNES racer Super Mario Kart, hacked to include the roster from Capcom's arcade classic Street Fighter II.

Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Bison and co. all put in an appearance in place of the games regular roster, even Dhalsim turns up as to referee the race in Laikitu's stead. Some fun tweaks have also been made to certain sounds to better reflect the appearance of the world warriors.

Nintendo Duo isn't new to Mario Kart hacks, as an earlier video, uploaded to the account back in January, features co-op party favourite Mario Kart 64, but with its roster replaced by characters from popular punching anime Dragon Ball Z.

We may never have gotten official kart titles in either of these brands, but at least these fun videos gives us an amusing glance at what might have been.

News:: Swery image shows The Good Life being tested on Nintendo Switch

Hidetaka Suehiro, better known to his pals as "Swery", has released an image on his Instagram account showing a prototype build of his current project, The Good Life, running on Nintendo Switch.

Swery is quick to make clear that this isn't necessarily a confirmation of anything, just that his programming team are fans of the Nintendo platform and were apparently keen to explore the possibilities of adapting the unique title to the format.

"Experimenting with the Switch. We love the Nintendo Switch," says Swery of the photo. "While we cannot commit to making a Switch version for now, our main programmer couldn’t stop himself from doing a few experiments... They have been surprisingly successful so far, much to the whole team’s enjoyment… It gives us extra motivation and more drive than ever, and the will to make the campaign successful. I hope it excites you too!"

The Good Life, the story of a young woman's attempts to rid herself of debt through photo-journalism (and the ability to change into a cat or dog at will), is currently struggling on Kickstarter. As of this writing, it still needs to make a few hundred thousand dollars in its final week, so that development can begin on PS4 and PC.

A demo is currently available for the PC version, which you can download right here. You can check out our own Ray Porreca's thoughts on the game in this preview.

News:: Radical Heights seems to be hemorrhaging players

The announcement of Radical Heights was met with a collective shrug from most players. This was yet another battle royale game in what was quickly becoming an overstuffed genre. While I don't agree with that, even I was surprised to see Cliffy B chasing trends instead of setting them, like in his past. That being said, even I'm surprised at how quickly the game seems to be falling out of style.

Just two weeks after releasing into early-access on Steam, Radical Heights has lost around 82% of its player base. The peak player count was around 12,500 on day two, but that has fallen to around 2,200 as of April 25. That isn't completely destitute, but it certainly doesn't look like the game has a bright future ahead of it.

Some prominent Twitch streamers have managed to draw in huge crowds while playing the game, but that can probably be attested to their own popularity versus interest in the game. My only experience with the title comes from watching some streams, but nothing about the game appeals all that much to me. If it weren't for Game Attack playing it, for instance, I would have never batted an eye at Radical Heights.

News:: Dragon Ball FighterZ Vegito SSGSS trailer turns up on Bandai Taiwan Facebook

On Bandai Namco's Taiwanese Facebook page, a trailer has turned up out of the blue (no pun intended) for another DLC character for Dragon Ball FighterZ.

The short clip features Vegito Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, who is created after Goku and Vegita have an almighty dick crash (well, actually through their Potara earrings). Considered one of the Dragon Ball series' most powerful characters, it will be interesting to see what else Vegito SSGSS brings to the fight, alongside his earth-shattering super: Final Kamehameha.

There has been no release date thus far for Vegito SSGSS or the recently trailered Fused Zamasu. If recent patterns are to be followed, we'll likely see them both make their impact felt on the game's roster on the exact same day, as was the case for previous DLC characters.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now on PS4, PC and Xbox One.

News:: God of War fans uncover secret treasure thanks to Collector's Edition

A group of savvy God of War fans have uncovered a big secret within Sony's smash adventure title. The secret was uncovered via a physical item that came packaged with the game's Stone Mason Edition.

After deciphering a series of Nordic runes printed alongside the cloth map, which came as an extra in the pricey package. Members of the game's inquisitive sub-reddit community used the translation to guide them to a certain location in the game world, once there, performing a certain action uncovered some long-lost weaponry.

I'll leave it at that, for those of you who want to eagerly fire up the game and explore for yourself, but the video below reveals the entire process and its reward. You can find the deciphered message from the map, and the steps involved in finding the treasure, right here.

Game director Cory Barlog took to twitter to congratulate the plucky adventurers. Good work, people! It is believed that there are other such secrets still locked away within the record-smashing release, so get out there, boy, and start digging.
