News::Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Review [Capsule Computers]

Andrew Day of Capsule Computers wrote: I love Batman, no secrets there. I also love just about everything else in the DC Comics line-up. I grew up watching Batman: The Animated Series and nowadays I have withdrawels waiting weekly for Arrow to air. I also love Lego and fondly remember playing with the colourful bricks all in my youth. Combining the two is often a dream come true for me my Lego Batmovibile still sits proudly assembled from my 16th birthday and my keys are adorned with a Lego Joker keychain. However, I didnt LOVE my time with Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Dont get me wrong, as a celebration of Batmans 75th birthday and a love letter to DC Comics it does a stellar job. But as a video game, and more importantly a video game sequel, it is a few bricks short of a masterpiece.

News::Ubisoft Confirms The Crew Will Launch Before Reviews Do

You want to read how the pros feel after their carefully considered road tests of The Crew. While we totally understand (hey, we read reviews, too!), The Crew was built from the beginning to be a living playground full of driving fans, so its only possible to assess our game in its entirety with other real players in the world. And by other, we mean thousands and thousands and thousands of players something that cant be simulated with a handful of devs playing alongside the press. For this very reason, The Crew will be available to media to begin their reviews when the game launches on December 2. There will be absolutely no embargo on any type of coverage once the game is available for sale.

News::Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) Review | GameCloud Australia

Shane Smith at GameCloud Australia writes: "As a platformer, Never Alone is far from revolutionary but still delivers decent gameplay. Its the cultural flavour of this game that makes it an extraordinary entry to the video game medium, however. The art style and audio are impeccable as its matched seamlessly with the narrative. There are a few technical hiccups that prevent the game from reaching full potential, but that shouldnt stop you from giving this unique and insightful game a wholehearted try."

News::Europa Universalis IV: Art of War Review | GameGrin

GameGrin's Ryan Davies writes: "Art of War is an unusual choice of title for Paradoxs latest DLC for Europa Universalis IV. Its certainly the biggest update to the warfare mechanics of the grand strategy title yet , but its not the best thing about the expansion. The phrase itself also implies a closer look at the Eastern provinces of the game (Sun Tzu and what not), yet the core feature of the DLC looks at Europe once again, in particular the 30 years war that ravaged the Holy Roman Empire during the 17th Century."

News::I never thought Super Mario Bros. would make me so angry

In a cramped beachside arcade, sandwiched between Galaga and Mortal Kombat 3, sits my white whale. It's surrounded by restaurants, a roller coaster, churro vendors, and a carousel, this sad little Super Mario Bros. arcade cabinet.

It isn't much to look at, with its chipped, gaudy yellow paint and weathered artwork. The monitor is tiny and its picture quality about as clear as mud. The buttons are sticky, and the stick is buttony. You could look right through it, and never even know it's there.

Maybe that's what I like about it, this unassuming relic with a dark side.

News::What Not to Do in Massive Chalice. A Strategy Primer.

Marcus Estrada writes: "So, youve either just purchased Massive Chalice or are contemplating giving it a shot. Great! Despite only being in Early Access right now, this Double Fine production is already a pretty darn engaging turn-based strategy game. Right now the biggest let down is a lack of tutorial. You do get some information at the beginning but most of it feels rather unsubstantial. Most players should be able to pick up tricks along the way. However, start off on the wrong foot and it might be centuries before realizing youve doomed yourself. This issue was quite common for me and my hope is to guide other Massive Chalice players off my path to self-inflicted defeat! Otherwise known as, What Not To Do in Massive Chalice."

Instead, you sit on your throne each day listening to the procession of visitors who wish to have a word. This is a strange, but compelling take on the strategy genre."

News::Solve your own murder in Why Am I Dead At Sea

You have been murdered, and you are now a ghost. It is up to you to solve the mystery of your own death. No, not like that. No, not like that either. Okay actually, it is sort of like Ghost Trick. It looks like the spirit in Why Am I Dead At Sea doesn't possess inanimate objects, but instead possesses any of the nine characters on a ship in the middle of the ocean.

The key to Why Am I Dead At Sea is that the direction of conversation and nature of the answers to the spirit's questions will differ depending on which character is doing the asking. By possessing different characters, the protagonist can find the solution to the puzzle of his death.

Also, it is not just me, but the sprites have a very Mother/EarthBound vibe to them, right? Why Am I Dead At Sea is currently seeking approval on Steam Greenlight.
