News::God Mode comes out this month for XBLA, PSN, and PC

God Mode is a third-person shooter that has you playing as a descendant of a god that has to survive the Maze of Hades. The game is being developed by Saber Interactive and Old School Games, and it's getting published by the JRPG lovers over at Atlus.

If you've been keeping an eye out on this one, then your wait won't be much longer! God Mode will be out on Xbox Live Arcade and Steam on April 19 in the US. The Steam version will run $9.99, but you can get it for $8.99 right now if you pre-order the game. The PlayStation Network version of God Mode will be out a week later on April 23.

Oh! Go check out the boxart. It looks bananas.

News::Interview with Darren Korb - Audio Director at Supergiant Games

From RaidWarning.com "I had the great pleasure of being able to talk with Darren Korb today and ask him a few questions about Games, Music and his path towards them. While we of course mentioned his work at Supergiant Games, including the highly anticipated Transistor and the acclaimed Bastion, I also wanted to find out a little bit about his background as a musician and a gamer and what drew the two together. I was not disappointed, and also learned that Darren Korb REALLY likes XCOM."

News::A Regular Show game is happening! Yeah-yuh!

In what may very well be the greatest news of 2013 thus far, D3Publisher has announced a partnership with Cartoon Network to publish games based on the greatest television program about a pair of retro-gaming slackers who still live like it's the 80s. D3 most recently handled the distribution of the WayForward-developed Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?! , and all parties are hoping that some of that same magic will carry over to Cartoon Network's other prime time giant.

I've been waiting for this announcement ever since I was fortunate enough to interview series creator J.G. Quintel almost exactly one year ago. Regular Show is a vehicle for J.G. to incorporate all his favorite old-school pastimes, from cheesy 80s action movies to SEGA Master System gaming. A videogame -- and I don't mean those quick-and-dirty Flash games that flood the CN site -- in the spirit of his childhood favorites is the next logical frontier.

J.G. told me that if there ever was a Regular Show game, he would love for it to be either a classic brawler or a funky rougelike similar to ToeJam & Earl. Both styles sound like they could offer a wealth of possibilities, so I hope that D3 strongly considers those options when it shops around for a developer.

News::Humble Weekly Sale features Blendo Games this week

Another week, another Humble Bundle. You all know the drill. Pay what you want, designate money toward charity, get games and soundtracks. Pay more than the average (currently around four dollars) to get bonus content. Take some time to note how much more Mac and Linux users pay than Windows users do.

This week, the Humble Bundle features Blendo Games, with the titles Flotilla , Atom Zombie Smasher , and Air Forte (video above) up for grabs. Pay more than the average to unlock Thirty Flights of Loving , which our own Patrick Hancock called an "incredible experience." Personally, I like the look of Air Forte, which appears to combine flying a biplane with primary education. Hit those verbs!

News::OXCGNs Exclusive Deadfall Adventures Interview- Please dont expect it to copy Uncharted

OXCGN "When I first saw the Deadfall Adventures trailer I breathed a little sigh of joy. No space marine. No modern soldier. No blown up warehouses. Here was what looked like a First Person Indiana Jones game; a game with a sense of adventure instead of dread for the fate of the world. We jumped at the chance to discover more about the game and see what the developers were going to be striving for. Arthur Falkowski is the producer at The Farm 51, the Polish studio behind Necrovision and Painkiller: Pain and Damnation. Reinhard Pollice is the Business & Product Development Director at Swedish publisher Nordic Games. We asked them to elaborate on what we saw in the video."

Kotaku - I used to feel like a Mass Effect fan. Like part of that community that gushed about their crush on Garrus, or commiserated over those lengthy elevator rides. News::Hating On BioShock Infinite

Game Informer - Having played through Irrational's latest politically charged adventure, I have some problems. Spoilers ahead, so beware. Let's get one thing out of the way here: BioShock Infinite is awesome. I plowed through it in a weekend and enjoyed the hell out of the experience. The torrent of superlatives being thrown its way are getting out of control, though, and I suspect that Irrational can survive a little reality check after being blasted by a firehose of Internet love for a solid week.

OXCGN: "As gamers, we often come to establish what we think of a game based on our previous experiences. Halo is better than Quake because the graphics are better, or, for a more ignorant comparison, World of Warcraft is the worst game ever cuz only nerds play that game. YOLO. Swagg. News::Interview: Enrique Dryere of Triple-B-Titles (Ring Runner: Flight of the Sages) | Esperino

On the surface Ring Runner may look like a simple, yet stylish space shooter but scratch a little deeper and you'll uncover a rich story-driven campaign, online co-op and competitive multi-player modes, in-depth customisation options, all rendered beautifully and with such polish you'll question how a couple of ambitious upstarts were able to pull off so much with so little resources. News::Warframe Review Pure|News

This game doesnt really make a good first impression, when you get in the levels, because the first planet is only the grinner, they are the most boring enemies and unfortunately the most common in the whole game; theyre just humans with guns, they have a few different types but theyre not all that interesting, there is a robot race which is pretty cool to fight and there are space zombies which are okay. All these races have different AI but the AI itself isnt anything special. The game play however, is freaking good let me tell you that, if theres one thing I can appreciate in a game its mobility and this game has it all, side rolls, back flips, wall jumps, wall running, sliding, jumping and sliding so you look like Bruce Lee jumping and shooting à lá Max Payne, this game gives you a lot to play with in terms of movement, in combat it gets pretty fun to use this to your advantage but there are not a lot of areas to do so, with that said, this game needed a better tutorial th...

News::Report: Next Xbox to use x86 AMD chip

Bloomberg is reporting that the next Xbox is set to use an x86 AMD chip. The anonymous source states that Microsoft will be adopting the AMD system-on-a-chip that combines "Jaguar" central processing units with graphics chips. With this move Microsoft would be dropping the IBM PowerPC tech used in the Xbox 360, which means the new system won't be backwards compatible, at least with current game discs.

The next PlayStation 4 is also using similar AMD tech. If this turns out to be true, then making multiplatform titles across the two next-gen consoles and PCs will be easier than ever before.

There's a rumored next Xbox reveal event in the works for May 21, so we'll know what Microsoft has planned soon.
