News::Pro Cycling Manager 2014 Review | PixelPerfectGaming

For many simulation fanatics, the Pro Cycling Manager series needs no introduction. Its robust gameplay and RTS elements help it stand head and shoulders above the rest. Similar to the Football Manager series, Pro Cycling Manager uses a system that has you managing a cycling team. The core elements from previous releases are still intact, including the ability to micromanage your team. The game still includes the day to day business mechanics as well. Additional tasks involve reading emails, trading players, finding sponsors and tending to injured team members.

News::IrrationalPassions: The Walking Dead Season 2 Review

Alex, of IrrationalPassions.com, writes this spoiler-friendly review: "Clementines struggle is very real: she is a child in a horrifying and unforgiving world, and the last time we saw her, she was all alone. Telltale made a bold choice to have you take the reins of Clementine in their second season of The Walking Dead, but unfortunately it seems to cause more problems for the franchise then not. Season Two of Telltales The Walking Dead consistently faces pacing, dialogue, and characterization issues and most importantly gives the player the feeling that they dont really have a choice, especially when they actually do."

News::HITC: Call of Duty: Ghosts Nemesis DLC Review

HITC Tech says: "It's safe to say the last two DLC packs for Call of Duty: Ghosts have suitably reinforced my desire to play the series again, after a couple of years hiatus. Ghosts came in a bundle when I bought my Xbox One earlier this year, and I played it fairly extensively, but never to the extent I played the previous CoD games - we can put that mostly down to lack of free time, but I did feel the multiplayer aspect was lacking in keeping me sufficiently entertained, mainly because its format has been pretty much the same for many years. Not that there's anything wrong with sticking to a solid gameplay mechanic, it's just nice to switch things up now and again."

News::Legends of Persia - PC Review | Chalgyr's Game Room

Chalgyr's Game Room writes: It has been a good year for fans of the Hack and Slash genre with releases, or even in progress releases (Early Access) such as Sacred 3, Diablo 3's console expansion, Heretic Shadow Kingdoms, Grim Dawn, and more. That being said, releasing one of these games this year comes with the tag of "what do you offer that they don't?". While Legends of Persia doesn't do anything spectacular gameplay wise to set itself apart from the rest in this category, it has one of the best cinematic styles I have seen in a while.

News::Preview: Pacific Rim: Jaeger Pilot for Gear VR [VRFocus]

VRFocus - Originally debuted at San Diego Comic Con back in July of this year, Pacific Rim: Jaeger Pilot puts the player in the hot seat of the titular skyscraping robot. Its an exercise in limiting expectations, as the interactivity offered is minimal-to-none, however it showcases the imagination thats already being piled into this new wave of virtual reality (VR) outside of the independent development studios that have been championing the technology thus far.

Later this month at EGX London (formerly Eurogamer Expo), Total War studio Creative Assembly will "reveal" the next installment in its popular strategy franchise.

The announcement will be a part of a developer session scheduled for 8:00am Pacific on Thursday, September 25. It will be streamed on Twitch, thankfully.

I'm not one to normally keep tabs on EGX, but I'll have to make an exception for this and the session before it, a new project from OlliOlli and Not a Hero developer Roll7.
