News::Battle Worlds: Kronos - Kickstarter Knugget

Nerdluster: Battle Worlds: Kronos is a new turn-based strategy experience that KING Art Games has been working on as a pet-project for several years. Initially this German indie developer created a prototype and their fans lapped it up but the publishing industry wouldn't the give money needed to see a turn-based game fully developed. KING Art was forced to shelve Battle Worlds and focus on another title, The Book of Unwritten Tales, which served as a throwback to the heyday of point-and-click adventure games. It's here where they found their initial success proving that their fans would respond to the content and ingenuity of their design rather than focusing on what genre the game was released in. It seemed like the right time to delve back into Battle Worlds.

News::Death Inc. Preview | Greenlit Gaming

Despite a setback from their failed to fund kickstarter, the developers at Ambient Studios are still determined to find a way to bring Death Inc. to life, or perhaps death would be more fitting. Gamer Euphoria writes: ''I approached Defiance in a some what cautious manner. The trailers and assets released prior to the games launch did little to excite. Other reasons why I was hesitant to jump into Defiance surrounded its target market, the console owning non-MMO player. News::Terraria (360) | FTG Review

FTG Writes: Last year, Mojang exploded onto the Xbox scene by putting their smash hit, Minecraft, on Xbox Live. The title quickly rose to the top of the Xbox leaderboards, and would often overtake the likes of Call of Duty as the most played game on Xbox Live. Needless to say, it made Mojang quite a pretty penny. 505 Games has seen this, and has done the same with their own Terraria. The games been on Steam for a couple years now, but like Minecraft, 505 is looking to break into the Xbox Live leaderboards. One of those surprises is a chiptune version of the main theme of The NeverEnding Story -- not the joke track from The Lonely Island linked above, of course. Then there is his medley of GoldenEye 007 tracks, which reminded of just how badass the music in that game was.

News::Rayman Legends will have 30 extra levels

The Wii U-exclusive Rayman Legends demo coming out this month will contain the full online challenge mode. A nice treat, sure, but that still doesn't change the fact that the game was already finished and should have been out by now. If Ubisoft wants to entice scorned gamers, it'll have to do a little bit more than that.

Series creator Michel Ancel and senior game manager Michael Micholic feel the same way you do, thus they and the Ubisoft Montpelier team have been working hard to make the final game even better. In an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, the duo explained that the extra dev time was used to create a hefty amount of brand new content. Micholic states, "Trust me, the things we are adding aren't minor. We're not talking about adding some polish here and there, but 30 new levels and several new bosses."

Considering Rayman Origins was roughly 60 stages long, we're essentially getting an extra half of a game at no extra cost. That to me makes the delay to September 27 a lot more bearable. I know it's not going to be enough for a some of you, but at least you can appreciate the effort.

News::Evoland Review - Gamer's News Network

Shiro Games has captured that special feel that sometimes feels lost in video games. The sense of accomplishment, curiosity, and sheer joy in playing a video game. Evoland started out as a game in a competition, Ludum Dare, in which you create a game in 72 hours and they did it in about 30 hours. Now this isn't the same game I played, which is the one you can get from Steam, but it is very similar. So this game that they made is basically a tip-of-the-hat to old school RPGs and provides it's own unique gameplay and story taking elements from so many classics that we all loved. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon hasnt even been announced for PC. There was a listing for it on the Steam database, but no release date (although a pulled XBLA listing claimed May 1). And yet, right now, you can open uPlay on your PC and trick it into downloading it for you. Then, you can play it to your hearts content. Beginning to end. This isnt some half-assed beta. This is the full, finished game. Its just sitting there on uPlays servers, waiting for the bigwigs to pull the switch. Is this legal? Probably not. And just to be safe, Im not going to tell you how to do it. By tomorrow morning Ubisoft will have fixed this exploit anyway. Theyre not stupid, and in any case, thats not the point. News::Defiance PC Review | AtomicGamer

AtomicGamer: "Defiance is neither pretty nor charming, but it's got a scrappy quality that can be very appealing, and its gunfights and reward systems do a great job of keeping you playing. And then, surprisingly, the game gets just that little bit better every time you get a new gun, fight a new enemy, discover a unique tactical option, or travel to the next zone. I won't speak much about the potential excitement of the simultaneous TV show tie-in, mostly because the show has yet to premiere on SyFy, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that playing the game makes me at least a little bit more interested in the show.
