News::Forza Motorsport 5's game of the year edition is lacking

Turn 10 Studios announced a Racing Game of the Year Edition for Forza Motorsport 5 by way of IGN, scheduled to arrive on July 22, 2014 for Xbox One for $60/£50/€70.

Given how much DLC there is for the game, you'd be inclined to think a decent amount of it would wind up included, but no, not really. On top of the core content, this package comes with the ten-car Top Gear pack plus the Road America and Long Beach tracks, and a third track that hasn't yet been announced. Thing is, both of those tracks can be downloaded for free.

Not a compelling enough offer, if you ask me. I get why they wouldn't want to include everything from the $49.99 Forza 5 Car Pass here -- there's money to be made, after all, and the content rollout hasn't even ended yet -- but don't release the game of the year edition so soon, then.

News::Watch Dogs Easter egg shows what a spying Kinect might look like

Remember when everyone was mad at the idea of a game console that comes with an always on, always watching and listening camera? Well thanks to this Watch Dogs easter egg, we have a nice visual representation of what the NSA has probably been watching since November.

Discovered by Eurogamer, you can find the Easter egg at any time after unlocking the bunker hideout in Watch Dogs. By flipping through the random ctOS video logs, you can come across a 20-something male having a particularly rage-filled gaming session. In the upper-hand corner, you can see the video feed is being provided courtesy of the "Kinekt" camera.

News::Review: Ultra Street Fighter IV | VGW

VideoGameWriter's Will Harrison: Capcom may be returning to the well once again with Ultra Street Fighter IV, the fifth iteration in the popular fighting game series. This doesn't mean that said well has dried up. With five new characters, gameplay enhancements, a laundry list of balance updates, and a nifty 'upload to YouTube' feature, Ultra Street Fighter IV does more than enough to keep the 'best fighting game of the last decade' crown in Capcom's trophy case.

News::Diehard GameFAN: The Wolf Among Us: Episode 4 In Sheeps Clothing Review

DHGF: Episode 4 is kind of a step back. It feels like its on rails, and has very few important decisions to make. Even the ones you do make alter your overall path only slightly. The plot here is about digging into the underworld, which kind of feels like what weve been doing all along anyway. I hope this isnt a sign of the series losing its steam, but rather just them setting us up for some major action in the upcoming finale. Either way, I look forward to the inevitable release of Episode 5.

News::Dark Raid Review | Hardcore Gamer

Like most genres of games, first-person shooters have evolved and changed quite a bit over the course of their existence. From the secret filled arenas of the genres progenitors to the linear corridor crawls with over-the-top set pieces of today and everywhere in between, games classified as first-person shooters have varied quite a bit over the years. Dark Raid is an indie FPS from developer Vector Games that aims to return to the design and gameplay of more classic shooters and get away from the tropes of the modern FPS landscape. Though in theory Dark Raid does successfully evoke many of the elements one would associate with older shooters, the results are not exactly what you might be hoping for.

News::Diehard GameFAN: Dark Souls II Review

DHGF: Dark Souls II was slow to grab me, but once it did, it would not let go. The story is paper thin, the graphics do some very weird things that make it feel rushed, and some of the voice acting will make you mute the sound, but the gameplay is the main attraction, and the gameplay shines for the most part. If you are looking for a good challenge to sink your teeth into, I can give Dark Souls II a solid recommendation.

Murdered: Soul Suspect is an interesting game. It is not AAA nor it is indie. It sits somewhere in the middle in a sort of limbo. This is symbolically poignant considering the game is about ghosts who exist somewhere in between the afterlife and the physical world. Like the spectral beings, this title feels a bit out of place within the current gaming landscape. This isnt a detriment to it as it ultimately delivers an enjoyable and somewhat unique experience.

Having truly enjoyed these types of experiences recently, I was excited when I loaded up A Story About My Uncle. "Kudos are in order, then, for the makers of Wolfenstein: The New Order, who seem to have little hesitation in embracing the goofiness of the past, choosing not to reboot the series with the grim self-importance of a Call of Duty but with the same outlandish spirit of the original. There most likely exists a version of this game that is a brutal, realistic depiction of the horrors of the Second World War: this isn't it. This is a game in which a D-Day-esque beach landing sees giant laser-firing robots stomping across the sand."

News::Among the Sleep Review | Saving Content

Excerpt: "Despite what the trailers or even the alpha demo would have you believe, Among the Sleep is more adventure game than true horror. For most of your time playing, youll be left alone, solving very basic puzzles that involve finding one or a set of items that fit a very specific slot such as a key, or group of owl toys that then allow you to proceed to the next area. Youll walk or crawl around, and are able to manipulate drawers, chairs, doors, and cabinets by using the mouse to click and pull items. A majority of the game involves repeating these mechanics, especially moving an object to climb to a certain height to open a door or reach a new area."

News::Please send me on a One Way Trip, PlayStation

If you know anything about me, you know how much I love trippy things, and this PS4 title One Way Trip looks like it's going to be right up my alley. It's headed straight for PS4 and PS Vita when it debuts next year in 2015, but for right now we've got this bizarre, dreamlike trailer to drool over and a few tidbits about what to expect from the game in the meantime.

One Way Trip follows you and your brother Barry as you discover you've been poisoned by the water you've been drinking. An attack on the nation's water supply has ravaged a large portion of society, who find themselves left with a whopping six hours left to live. And it can't be a comforting "wait for the sweet embrace of death" six hours, either. You're tripping balls the entire time. That's right. You're forced to piece together the last few moments of your life while hallucinating. And probably having to listen to synthpop while pastel strippers shake what their mamas gave them only a few feet away. In short, this is my kind of game.

With branching choices, decision-making, and floating heads as well as the ability to forge relationships, One Way Trip has my attention. Also, check the surrealism. You've got my number right now, PlayStation.
