News::Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Pixeljudge review.

Diablo 3 launched in May of 2012 to almost immediate controversy. While Diablo 3 was mechanically a well-made game, it was plagued by a lot of serious problems, some of which still haunt the game to this day. Diablo 3s Reaper of Souls expansion, as well as the 2.0 patch that was released just ahead of the expansion, fixed many, maybe even the majority of the problems that with Diablo 3.

News::Xbox One still doesn't do external storage, but it's 'coming soon'

We knew almost a year ago that you'd be stuck with the Xbox One's 500gb hard drive. Much like Bewitched's original Darrin, it is irreplaceable.

Our concerns were met with assurances that you could simply use external USB storage, but the One's launch came and went without such capability. Meanwhile, One owners are sitting on 391gb of usable (for games) hard drive out of the box as the console library slowly grows. Real slowly.

Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" (of Bewitched competitor I Dream of Jeannie fame) Hryb took to the Xbox One subreddit to say that, "External game storage is coming soon....I need to check on media support." As exciting as it is vague. No details yet on a possible cap for the external storage size (the 360 capped at 32gb, which would be sort of useless on the One).

News::Review: Thomas Was Alone (DarkZero)

Robert from DarkZero writes - "There's a definition to many different words tucked away in a video game dictionary somewhere. The definition is overlooked because it's an indie title developed by one man with a mission to bring so many workable elements into a puzzle platformer that it makes some blockbuster titles begging for the same gripping emersion. The definition lies beneath the words, accessible, rich, engaging, unforgettable, and even ambitious. Thomas Was Alone."

News::Death in Candlewood Goes for Dark 1940s Nostalgia

[Luke Siuty, IGM] Silent Hill, F.E.A.R, BioShock, The Witcher what do those games have anything to do with the indie scene? The games themselves, perhaps little, but the all-star developers behind those titles are coming together for a project under the studio banner of Rosebud Games. Death in Candlewood is their take on 1940s America, spun in a sinister open-world FPS. The story spans a single night in Ray Dunes life, the protagonist. Psychiatrist Lester Caravan goes bonkers, leaving Caravans adopted, handicapped son unsafe. Its up to Dune to resolve the mess the madman created a love story between the living and the dead. Corpses rise from their graves, and, needless to say, they are unfriendly.

News::Dead Island: Epidemic Preview - Hopefully Not Dead In The Water | The Game Scouts

Adam Seats: For those of you unaware, there's a new Dead Island game in the works, but it's not an FPS this time around. Deep Silver has decided to throw their hat in the MOBA pile. Unfortunately for them, they should probably just stick to copying Borderlands instead of League of Legends because I can't see this game working out too well for them in such an over-saturated market. The game looks awesome but brings nothing new to the table. I want to get a few things out of the way right here. One: I love the Dead Island franchise. I'm a diehard zombie fan, so games where you get to wreck the undead are my bread and butter. Two: I am not a competitive online gamer. I am willing to accept the fact that I don't have the proper mindset for MOBAs, or that I don't have the honed reflexes, or that there are a lot more people out there with a lot less to do than myself who have mastered the game, even in its beta stages, that I will never even hope to achieve. Bearing those things in mind,...

Diablo 3 took the world by storm and it is safe to say that the game lived up to most people's expectations. Sure, the game wasn't 100% perfect, but Diablo 3 is a solid RPG that thousands of gamers are enjoying each day. However, the time has come to build on the success of the original game and to start that transition comes Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls. Reaper of Souls is very similar to the way that Lords of Destruction built upon the success of Diablo 2.
