News::Joe Danger 1 and 2 coming to the PlayStation Vita in 2014

Joe Danger 1 and 2 is continuing its gaming platform tour with the next stop being on the PlayStation Vita. We knew this was happening back in August, but we have some additional info according to VG247.

Hello Games is kind of busy with No Man's Sky at the moment, so the port is being handled by indie team Four Door Lemon. This team was responsible for the HD remake of Oddworld: Mucnh's Oddysee for the PlayStation 3. Expect both Joe Dangers in Q2 of 2014.

The Vita is becoming pretty damn port heavy lately, but at least the ports have been turning out pretty great such as with Terraria and Mutant Mudds .

News::The Gentlemen's Club! The last one... for the year!?

Spencer and I are both two people who get really excited whenever our favorite non-denominational holiday rolls around. We have already been getting into the mood by listening to some of the greatest seasonal song hits from Bing Crosby to CeeLo Green (his holiday album is pretty great). So to celebrate one of our favorite times of the year we thought we would use a literal sack of games that came out this year and play random ones every 15 minutes. Have a game that came out this year that you were wondering if it were good or not? Chances are you will see it played tonight. We have a few great ones mixed in with a few horrible ones, and some import surprises as well! So come on by and watch as we check out 2013's video games 15 minutes at a time!

What game left the biggest impact on you guys this year? Good or bad, I am not too picky.

News::Fan recreates Earthbound with HD visuals

To say that Earthbound, or Mother as it's referred to in Japan, is a much loved and admired game, is an understatement. From fans creating charity drives, to organized campaigns to get the game on Nintendo's virtual console -- this quirky and inventive RPG title has stolen the hearts of fans, whose numbers seem to grow with every passing year. Now, one such fan has shown off his love for the series by giving the game a new look for the HD generation.

3D artist Christopher Behr has spent the better part of a year giving Earthbound fans an idea of what a modern day version of the game could look like. Using his skills, he made a recreation of Onett, the hometown for Earthbound/Mother's main character. This recreation does take some liberties stylistically, but it's close enough to give people an idea of what the retro-quirky style can do with new tech. I don't know about you, but this is making me yearn for another playthrough of Earthbound. These images make me wish for Nintendo to give the series another chance. If anything, the passion from fans over the years show that it's deserving of another shot.

For links to full sized versions of his work, check out the artist's website.

News::The Stomping Land: It's like DayZ, but with dinosaurs

The Stomping Land is a survival game coming to the PC that was successfully funded through Kickstarter not to long ago. Players have to hunt for dino meat, all while fending of large dinosaurs like the T-Rex. Plus, you'll have to deal other players looking to survive. There's only so many dinos you can hunt, and when the meat supplies start to run dry, rival players will attempt to raid your camp.

The developers behind the game have given us a little update, detailing some new features that they've added since May. There's going to be 14 different kinds of dinosaurs, and you can even ride some of them like your very own Yoshi! There will be beaches, mountains, forests, caves and more to explore, and there's some interesting mechanics being put in, such as how dinos can drag players around after being lassoed.

Definitely looking forward to Stomping Land as there's nowhere near enough dinosaur games on the market anymore. Someone bring back Turok!

News::South Park: The Stick of Truth - why it was censored for Australia

Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of South Park, are well known for not pulling their punches. When the MPAA argued that elements of the film based on the animated series were inappropriate, Stone and Parker reacted in ways that introduced more filth. News::Rogue Legacy now updated, more patch details

Cellar Door games recently announced an update to Rogue Legacy, the procedurally generated platform game in which players explore an ever-changing castle, one familial generation at a time. It's a really great game, easy to lose hours to, and the new content sounds like it's going to add quite a bit to the experience.

In total, 28 new rooms have been added, which should be a nice bit of additional variety and spice things up for returning players, while also removing the "Diary" rooms which fill in the plot once said plot is fully revealed so that they're no longer a waste of time to travel through. The update also seems to make a lot of things easier, improving the "Haggle" ability to reduce prices more efficiently, reducing the attack capability of some enemies and making some abilities function better in "New Game +" playthroughs. And, finally, it reduced the chances that a character with irritable bowel syndrome will fart whenever they jump, which I'm sure will be a black mark for many.

The patch notes also state that Cellar Door is currently testing Steam Cloud functionality and expects it to be included in a future update .

This is the only game in my Steam library for which I had earned all of the achievements, which should say something for how much I enjoyed playing it. I say, "had," because there are now six more achievements in the Steam version I'll have to earn. Oh, darn.

News::Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag - Freedom Cry Review | Hardcore Gamer

Hardcore Gamer: Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag didnt entirely feel like an entry in the main series. Naturally, there was the familiar conflict weve been following indistinctly, as well as a main character whose life transforms after donning the signature outfit. Most of the features made a return as well, with an assortment of jaded figures to pardon from life, and a large, detailed map littered with diversions to explore. Its strange, then, that its most distinguishable asset came by way of a makeover. With a passable tale as a compass, its piratical world was a boundless playground, offering a level of freedom formerly only teased. This makes it all the more surprising that its DLC, Freedom Cry, has a shocking and almost cynical lack of freedom for a story about an escaped slaved.
