News::MMO Rage: Impatient Players

The vast majority of gamers play mmorpg games because they want to relax and have some fun. When gamers log into their favorite online game, they want to escape the drudgery and headaches of the real world and escape into a fantastic realm where they can slay monsters, be the hero, and be showered in virtual riches. Yet there are many times when they find themselves becoming enraged by something that happens in the game. This can be caused by the actions of other players or by a specific mechanic in the game that they find incredibly annoying to the point where it sours their experiences.

News::Interstellar Marines Preview Tactical Shooter Done With Tact | Attack On Gaming

"Tactical FPS, in some regards, is one of the most difficult kinds of game genres to build a game into. The king of this genre, is of course, Counter-Strike. However, tactical shooters do go beyond this one title, but rarely have they shown as much tactical depth as Interstellar Marines has so far. It is developed by Zero Point Software and is self-published on Steam. For a game that is still in early access, Interstellar Marines is showing a lot of promise." - Attack On Gaming

News::Digital vs Retail - Letting Go Of My Inner Collector

iTechHeads: Ever since I've been a gamer I've collected games. I rarely sold them to Gamestop and I rarely lended or gave them away to friends and family. I was a collector. I liked the feeling of seeing my game collection on my shelf. It was a feeling of pride and accomplishment for me. So why is it that I'm questioning my habits this generation? It's because I've experienced the huge advantages digital has over retail discs.

News::Heroes of the Storm Preview [Player Attack]

Player Attack: Heroes of the Storm is many things. It is Blizzard venturing again into the world of free to play, and it is the studio's attempt to somewhat belatedly stake a claim in the MOBA genre, amid giants like Dota 2 and League of Legends. It seems odd that Blizzard should now decide to recreate a mod originally created with its own tools, but such is the popularity of the genre. Pages have already been written about the many things HotS is. But what about some of the things it is not?

News::Review: Warframe - Destructoid

Destructoid: "Warframe has just released on the Xbox One, and it's undergone some changes since it launched -- mostly good changes, meant to add more content to the game in the form of items and missions. It still fails in all of the same areas however, mostly its inability to craft an interesting world, and the free-to-play scheme that encourages far too much grinding."

News::Wayward Manor Review: Neil Gaimans Worst Book | Technology Tell

From the review, "Whats worse than the puzzles (and scarier than anything the characters in Wayward Manor might experience) are the game-breaking glitches. Too often the cursor used to interact with the world would become an impotent hourglass icon, incapable of anything but evoking frustration. Objects clipping through one another is a sign that corners may have been cut and when essential puzzle elements become unintentionally unclickable with unfathomable regularity, it becomes hard to forgive them as merely a pratfall of the medium. On the plus side, visual glitches can sometimes be humorous. [Benjamin Maltbie hasn't] any idea what Wayward Manors anti-hero might look like, but I can guarantee that he or she can look no more horrific than this one time the otherwise forgettable Madame Buddss lady bits decided to go rogue.Or are they just wonky by design?"

News::Super Time Force Ultra Review - AMHNetwork

"Super Time Force (Ultra) is one of those games where people's descriptions under-sell the ingenuity behind the concept. We're all guilty of it, myself included, where we take a fresh new idea and we quickly try and label it with what we already know somewhat shoehorned into what we see in front of us. Now, if I was to do that for this game there are definitely things that spring to mind such as Contra or Braid but as I'll explain Super Time Force is much more than a simple hybrid." News::Risen 3: Titan Lords Review | Awesome Games

Rhys from Awesome Games writes: 'The Risen series has, thus far, been an unfortunate exercise in mediocrity. Its quite sad because its setting and worlds often have a ton of potential, but each game has smacked of rushing to meet a deadline that it never really seems to hit its stride. Though while the first game is at least somewhat enjoyable and managed to gain a strong cult following, its sequel, Dark Waters, just lacked the same kind of gusto that made the series so promising.'
