News::Wild West PS4 multiplayer game Secret Ponchos also headed to PC

Switchblade Monkeys' Secret Ponchos is no longer only coming to PlayStation 4 -- the spaghetti western multiplayer game is also on track for a PC release this year.

You knew this was coming but, yes, the title will launch first on Steam Early Access. That initial release is happening this summer and the studio says the beta period will fuel development on PC and let it carry "additional balance and polish" into the PS4 version of Secret Ponchos as well.

I've played this before and found it to be pretty fun in the several minutes I spent with the game. It remains to be seen how much longevity a title like this will have but I'm keeping watch. Secret Ponchos will be playable at PAX East this weekend, by the way. Look for it in the Indie Megabooth.

News::Alien: Isolation has special features on next-gen consoles and other new details

The German website Looki.de has released a new Q&A with Jonathan Court, Senior Producer for Alien: Isolation at Creative Assembly. Biggest news in the interview is that compared to the older generation, next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One will have "special features". How these features will look like will be revealed at a later date. Court also clarifies that despite having a dynamic gameplay, Alien: Isolation has only one ending. There are no multiple endings. Readers know that in Alien: Isolation players will face only one giant, fully grown Xenomorph. Looki.de asked if there are maybe other alien life forms like Face Huggers, parasites or eggs in the game. Court didn't answer the question and mentioned that details on this will follow later. Alien: Isolation will play 15 years after the incidents of the first Alien movie. Questions on other connections or tie-ins to the bigger Alien universe are neither denied or confirmed by Court, leaving more room for suggestions....

News::Forza Motorsport 5 gets another free track tomorrow

Additional tracks for Forza Motorsport 5 is a very good thing indeed, I think we can all agree. Especially when they're delivered as free DLC. Like the Road America track before it, Turn 10 is giving away another course, southern California's Long Beach Circuit, starting tomorrow.

As per usual with add-on tracks, Long Beach will be playable across all of Forza 5's modes. There's also a Long Beach Booster Pack containing five new vehicles on the way, although this is unsurprisingly only free for Car Pass owners. Those cars are: the 1977 Ford Coyote Gilmore77, the 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale, the 1956 Jaguar D-Type, the 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG Mercedes CLK GTR, and the 1971 Ferrari #2 Ferrari Automobili 312 P.

From GamesReviews: "We wrote earlier about the OpenSSL problem that meant hackers could easily and safely get sensitive user information from some two-thirds of major servers in the world. News::Why Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is sticking to last-gen

The industry is currently trying to support two generations of consoles at once, which means game publishers have to decide what the safest bet is for their next projects. Some companies are creating the the same content for both last- and current-gen, while others are just focusing on creating experiences against "next-gen" specs.

In the case of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, it's going to be sticking to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Why? Mostly because developer Gearbox wants to release on platforms they feel their customers already have.

"It's more about the fact that we know that the biggest customer for [Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel] is a person who loves Borderlands, and 100% of those customers are on the platform that we're supporting," president of Gearbox Randy Pitchford told us. Pitchford feels that with Borderlands 2 moving well over eight million copies, "there's more people that bought Borderlands 2 than there are installed units of Xbox Ones and PlayStation 4s. Meanwhile there's 150 million installed PlayStation 3s and Xbox 360s."
