News::History Lesson: Metal Gear Solid

Metal Gear Solid had a lot to overcome if it was ever going to hit the big time. Humble beginnings on the MSX 2 system (and a tragically dumbed-down NES Americanisation). An eight-year absence from the market following Metal Gear 2. A title consisting of three random words to the casual shelf browser and of course a hero called Solid Snake which, let's face it, only seems acceptable now because we're used to it.

News::'Kromaia' Review | Analog Addiction

Analog Addiction writes, "It feels weird to start off a review by giving you advice, but if you happen to purchase Kromaia, press F1 or F2 to change the camera. You wont find this advice anywhere in the key bindings, and my experience with the game was made better when I accidentally stumbled upon it. Kromaia is a space combat game developed by Kraken Empire and published by Rising Star Games. Kromaia is a polarising experience. Its visuals and sound design filled me with pure joy as colourful, fluorescent explosions filled the screen. Yet, the often chaotic nature of combat and a few frustrating mechanics quickly turned that joy into agony."

News::Smooth Operators: Call Center Chaos (SteamFirst Review) - For Quality Purposes

Thus, it was with tongue firmly planted in cheek that I pulled Andreas Heydecks Smooth Operators: Call Center Chaos out of our review backlog and said I am going to review the crap out of this.

Chris of The Games Cabin - "This year Ubisoft has graced us with not one, but two Assassins Creed games, one of which is the subject of this review, the other being Assassins Creed: Unity. It seemed a strange move by Ubisoft to release two games on the same day for differing generations of consoles, but the more I played through Assassins Creed: Rogue, the more I warmed to the idea and eventually managed to shake away the feeling that Im being fed a second glass of milk from the same cow. Read on for the full Assassins Creed: Rogue review."

Avoiderdragon: Call of Duty: Ghosts was more or less a low point for Activisions cash cow, having sold much less than expected and with a crowd that have become more or less jaded by the annual releases and the same old same old. Its time to set the If it aint broke, dont fix it mentality aside and come up with something fresher. Palmer Sturman: Call of Duty is a franchise that has received a lot of flak over the years. Suffering from a stale formula, dated engine, and terrible campaigns, its been tough imagining it ever returning back to form.
