News::Bethesda's Fallout Anthology comes in a mini-nuke
While you probably already own most of the Fallout games on PC given how routinely they're discounted, here's a cool thing out of QuakeCon 2015. Bethesda is packaging Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition, and Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition inside of a replica Fat Man mini-nuke that makes an "audible bomb sound."
Really? Sounds more like a cash register cha-ching to me.
The Fallout Anthology releases in North America on September 29 and in Europe on October 2. Bethesda assures that there's extra room in the case for November's Fallout 4. Uh huh.

News::The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna is out now
The more time passes since playing The Talos Principle, the more I think it's going to end up on my personal games of the year list. Releasing late last year, it just missed the cut to be considered for 2014, so it will be grouped in with the 2015 games.
Road to Gehenna will help to keep it fresh in my mind for those end of the year considerations. The downloadable content is available today, so publisher Devolver Digital put together this short trailer for it. More story from Tom Jubert and Jonas Kyratzes sounds like a great thing, though I'm a little anxious at the idea of tougher puzzles; some of the puzzles included in the base game were taxing enough.
Today's release is only for the PC version of The Talos Principle. PlayStation 4 players will have to wait until "later this year" to check out Road to Gehenna.

News::Bethesda just announced the Fallout Anthology.
Bethesda just announced the Fallout Anthology. It’s a PC-only collection of every Fallout game that comes in a container that looks like a mini-nuke. It’ll be out at the end of September. War never changes, but buying old games does, apparently.

News::What Happens When You Do A Fallout Tutorial At The End of The Game
Most games force tutorials on the player near the start of a new adventure. But Fallout is a game all about freedom...and that lets hilarious situations like this one happen.

News::Well, Dragon Quest VIII almost looks as good as it did 11 years ago
I'm always down for photo modes. Still, adding a photo quests feature that tasks you with snapping pictures for rewards, in a port of a game that looked a little bit better in 2004? (For reference, it is now 2015)
Well, ok. Still nice to have Dragon Quest VIII on a handheld that's not a cellphone. I hate those things. They are too big, too expensive, and too damn necessary (I was looking to upgrade or perhaps change carrier today).

News::Will you be buying Super Mario Maker?
I'm very interested in seeing how Super Mario Maker will turn out when it debuts on Wii U later this year. While there have been a lot of people vocally supporting the project, I see a lot of indifference towards it. In fact, if I wasn't set to review it come September, I probably wouldn't have picked it up if it weren't for the fact that my wife is really into it, and I generally buy Mario games day one.
There's something about Mario Maker that just doesn't wow me, even though I know that dedicated fans will be making creations for years on end -- creations we will likely be covering on Destructoid. But still, I don't think Nintendo has done enough to really get me excited for it, perhaps due to the fact that it feels rather limited in terms of the source material it draws from (right now only objects from Super Mario Bros., Mario 3, Mario World, and Mario U are set to debut).
If they boasted the inclusion of every asset ever created for Mario, it would be really cool, but for now, I'm cautiously optimistic.

News::Here’s an interesting nugget of League of Legends eSports information: GameSpot interviewed a bunch
Here’s an interesting nugget of League of Legends eSports information: GameSpot interviewed a bunch of North American pro players and found that an overwhelming majority would prefer the League Championship Series (LCS) format be changed to best of two games, rather than best of one. I think they all have a point.
