News::Stick it to the man with two more free PlayStation Plus games

Tomorrow's Tuesday, which means more free games (you'll likely never play despite still paying for the service) for PlayStation Plus.

For PS4, we have Stick It to the Man , which I hear is real good and I like for its gross 90's cartoon art style.

On PS3, you can avoid giving EA more money for calcio -- soccer -- games and get PES 2014 instead. Simulate the world cup atmosphere by becoming aggressively nationalistic. Glare sidelong at anyone who appears to be from another country than you and start planning now for excuses for why your country was knocked out.

News::Trials Fusion Review (ITF Gaming)

Jonathan Bester from ITF Gaming writes: So you fancy yourself a Motocross enthusiast? If so, then you have surely heard about the fantastic arcade titles in the Trials series. Formerly a PC stalwart, the games in the Trials series have only gone from strength to strength, until it finally hit the console market in August of 2009 with the fantastic Trials HD. The Xbox Live Arcade market was blown away with its balsy, in your face action. At E3 2011, the announcement of Trials Evolution was met with equal fervour, and when the game was finally released in April 2012, fans everywhere rejoiced when Evolution improved on its predecessor. Fast forward 2 years, and we now have a new generation of consoles, and along with it a brand new Trials game in the form of Trials Fusion. However, can Trials Fusion improve where its predecessors left off? Or will it crash out and leave behind the charred remains of what was once a spectacular video game? Lets find out!

News::LOST ORBIT Makes the Isolation of Space Fun | Hardcore Gamer

Its not easy to think of being stranded in the cold void of outer space. While weve seen quite a few films tackle this subject matter, its very hard to envision what you would do if you were alone in the cosmos with nothing but a spacesuit keeping you alive. Being lonely is one thing, but theres also a weird sense of wonder in flying through the Final Frontier. Youd spread your arms and rocket forward, twisting and turning in zero gravity without anything holding you back. That bizarre combination of unsettling isolation and childlike freedom drives the message of PixelNAUTS upcoming game LOST ORBIT, an exciting little game with a substance-packed narrative and game mechanics with plenty of promise.

News::Did You Know Gaming tackles Team Fortress 2

I've fallen off the Team Fortress 2 wagon in a big way; I used to play for at least 2-3 hours every day but the constant stream of updates and deluge of new items dulled my interest. Watching this latest episode of Did You Know Gaming on TF2 brought back some good memories and reminded me of the game's long and protracted development phase.

Team Fortress 2 was worked on for eight years before being finally released; the first Team Fortress was a Quake mod that Valve snapped up and had re-released on its own Source engine. When TF2 was originally shown off it was clearly going for a realistic war shooter look which I'm glad never paned out. I much prefer the stylized silliness of the final product.

I should really try out TF2 one more time -- maybe I'll learn to love it again.

News::Kirby's Dream Land 2 free with Triple Deluxe download in Europe

European gamers who buy Kirby: Triple Deluxe from the 3DS eShop prior to July 13, 2014 will receive a free download code for Kirby's Dream Land 2, Nintendo has announced.

This 1995 Game Boy title is a reminder of that phase when games prominently featured animal buddies, like Rick, the adorable hamster. He was even on the box art! Chris reviewed Triple Deluxe and said it's "pretty much everything a fan could ask for."

Even if I can't take part in this deal, I do really like Nintendo's experimentation with free games and store credit as of late. Ah well. I'm still ecstatic about that upcoming Mario Kart 8 offer.
