News:: Hot and Steamy: BDSM Santa Clause won't let you escape from his pleasure planet

He sees you when you're sleepin'
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake
Oh! You better watch out, you better not cry
Better not pout, I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is comin' to town

And when he comes, he'll have a big red bag filled to the brim (practically seeping) with Steam games. Thankfully, he checks out this here weekly feature about the best games releasing each week so he is sure to bring you just the good ones and not asset-flipped trash.

News:: Citalis, which was once too hard, is now too easy

I first started playing Citalis, now available on Steam, last month after the developer sent us an email about its then-impending release. With its clean lines, and simple-yet-elegant art, I was immediately drawn to it and requested a review code. The last time I did this I ended up despising the game and vowed never to take a chance like that again, but I broke that vow thinking this would be different.

Citalis is a grid-based city building game with elements of the clicker genre that has exploded in recent years. You start with a little bit of money and three different grids: commercial, residential, and parks. You have to build your city, its business, and its scenery without going bankrupt. Success means balancing your commercial growth with your available housing and park areas. If you don’t have enough parks, crime will grow in your city, eventually shutting down your businesses. At the end of each day you have to pay a fee to keep your city afloat, and if you go just $1 into debt, you lose.

News:: Dota 2's 7.00 patch fundamentally changes the game

I'm uhh, not even sure where to begin here. Fresh off of the Boston Major, Valve has just released the update page for Dota 2's newest patch: 7.00. The community has anxiously been awaiting the patch just for the brand new Hero of Monkey King, but everyone also knew that this patch would shake things up,

Holy cow, this patch changes everything.

One of the biggest changes that immediately caught my eye is the new talent tree, similar to Heroes of the Storm. It's hard to grasp all of the details since the website is currently in Chinese and being translated by Chrome, but it looks like at levels 10, 15, 20, and 25, players will choose an "either or" upgrade to their Hero -- damage increases, stat changes, etc.

Monkey King looks ridiculous, as he can jump onto trees and also turn into them! He's probably the closest thing to a Spy character Dota 2 will ever have, and that makes me very excited. It's going to take me a while to parse through all of the changes (and for the website to actually be able to display them), so for now just stare with your mouth agape at the update page.

News:: PREPARE TO FRIENDSHIP: Dtoid's Master Gaming Contact List

[Since it looks like the United States is slowly descending into climactic Armageddon, why not spend your time playing video games with your new friends? -Panda]

Good morning/afternoon/evening my friends/robots/Gardevoir

It has recently been made aware to me that, just perhaps, you all enjoy video games. It might even be said that you... like to game with others? Now now, don't be that way, I don't mean to lump you into some sort of box. You're all just such lovely folks, it pains me to watch you, struggling in vain to connect with each other, striving to engage in...

News:: Ben Heck's Virtual Boy, part 2

The Ben Heck Show - Episode 266 - Ben Heck's Virtual Boy Part 2: Rebuild

Now that the Nintendo Virtual Boy has been torn down and we know how it operates, Ben and Karen get to work repurposing the console as a wearable virtual reality headset. To do so, Ben has to redesign the enclosure, which means it's time to bust out some vector graphics software. It's not all about 3D printing mounts and laser cutting, though. Karen steps in with her wearable know-how to help attach the Virtual Boy to the frame, allowing it to be mounted on your face. All designs encounter some flaws and problems, however, and this one is no different. What did you think of the build? And what else should the team turn into a wearable? Let us know over on the element14 Community.

News:: New Runner3 character will pop out the shoot in the Nintendo Force

Precious and few are the tidbits we two can share regarding Runner3, the upcoming sequel to BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner2 Future Legend of Rhythm Alien. We know that the game's new retro levels will allow CommanderVideo to stop and explore whole larger environments, that crates of Schlörtz will come to life, a carrot with luscious lashes will crash the party, and that the world will open up in all new ways. Other than all that, much remains shrouded in mystery.

If you're hankering for some Runner3 news that's a little more concrete, you'd do well to secure a copy of Nintendo Force before Dec 16th. That's the cut off date for subscriptions that include the next issue, which will feature a double-sided The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild poster, a look at how some of our favorite Wii U games may make the leap to the Switch, and maybe most exciting of all, our first look at an all new playable character for Runner3

Note, the reveal of this character in a Nintendo fan magazine does not confirm that Runner3 will be coming someday be available on a Nintendo console. Likewise, the image above does not, in fact, depict the character reveal in question, though it does give a hint about who they are and what they were born to do.

The first person to guess their name gets a corncob!

News:: Report: Final Fantasy XV is cut off on some televisions

It's obnoxious when you fire up a new game and get that TV zoom calibration screen, but it's an even bigger nightmare when it chops off your game and you can't do anything about it. Such is the case for some Final Fantasy XV players miffed at Squenix for not fully supporting their still-damn-good older televisions. The number of affected players is difficult to determine, but there are at least hundreds pissed-off unique snowflakes hitting the forums for over a week.

It's not just "a little text off to the right" being cut. Some people can't see their MP bar at all. It's bad. A patch is supposed to be finally hitting any day now, according to this forum update made on December 7th, but some people still continue to be affected by this issue. Funny enough, this particular poster might be confused with roman numerals and was posting about FFX Remaster, which makes Square's reply even more puzzling. What's going on here?
