Although Overwatch players generally understand what's happening in any given match, the public at large has found that the whole ordeal of watching a pro match can be somewhat overwhelming with so many different moving parts. It's a valid point given that anyone can catch a match on Disney XD or TBS now that Overwatch's popularity has reached massive heights, but Blizzard has proposed a solution -- a few solutions, actually.
According to director Jeff Kaplan, Blizzard will be implementing several features, described as an "eSports suite," which will debut at BlizzCon. It'll consist of an enhanced third-person camera, better replays, a top-down map that 'casters can use to better describe what's happening, a tournament system that will auto-pause for disconnects, and in-game uniforms that highlight which player is on which team.
In true developer update fashion the video below is just Jeff talking about the tools rather than providing an in-depth look at them, but given that BlizzCon is just a few days away we'll be able to see the fruits of their labor soon enough.
