News:: The success of Crash 'could lead to other things,' says Activision

The just-released Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is doing remarkably well for itself. The PlayStation 4 remaster is reviewing well and selling even better. So, where does that leave Activision? More remasters in a similar vein, or an all-new extension to the Crash series? Decisions, decisions.

Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg said the company is "experimenting" with the N. Sane Trilogy. "We know there's a vocal fanbase that wanted that to come back. But you never know if that is emblematic of a larger audience or just this niche, nostalgia-based community. So far, we are seeing some real passion for it, so that could lead to other things."

"Of course, we are always trying to find the next big thing," he added. "But our first priority is to make sure we are servicing the communities that we are already lucky enough to have."

I'd love to see Crash Team Racing return, but more generally speaking, Spyro. It's gotta happen.
